So angry that I wasted £100 for 2 tix for this show. I didn't bother to research reviews as the name and logo leads you to think it's entirely different e.g. a tribute style show.
Instead, the setting is iPlanet. The time is the future, or now.. it's not very clear. The lead male's name is Gallileo Figaro and the lead female Scaramouche. Gallileo has a cheesy American accent...
I have been going to shows for the last 15 years and never have I seen something so atrocious. Even though the singers aren't untalented and the choreography is okay, the nonsensical, cheesy storyline with cringe one liners plus the fact it was set in a Mad Max style dystopian future (been done 20-30 yrs ago) yet illogically referring to current technology (ipads/facebook) amongst a myriad of other ridiculousness made it unbearable. All the songs were completely violated by being sung in a high school musical type fashion and they even changed the words out to make it more relevant to the show's storyline.
They clearly update the script weekly to make it more relevant, e.g. references to Whitney Houston being dead. And dropping in lyrics to the script, like, "who let the dogs out?" and, "hit me baby, one more time!".
Both of which makes it all the more cringe.
The one good thing I noticed was a reference to how if people are only making music for money then their soul isn't in it, so it's not really music (or something to that effect) which I agree with.
The other 99.99% was the most regrettable 2+ hours I can remember.
It pretty much violates rock and roll and Queen's iconic, epic music.
