Someone used my card details to sign up with this company. It wasn't me and since then i have had 3 new cards and blocked the card with their company. I already received several refunds because of this but and this is the best part I had another charge go out and they told the bank it wasn't fraud. I'd never even heard of this company until i saw them on my bank statement. They say it's not fraud and that they have a no refund policy. The bank has no idea how they are continuing to take money out yet there is no direct debit set up and it's happened over 3 different cards.
I phoned emusic who were decidedly unhelpful until i told them that they were breaking the law by making me pay for a service i wasn't receiving after several minutes of me complaining about the law in a fraud case and that they should be giving me my money back because i have never downloaded music on the internet they eventually put me on hold and have told me that they are 'refunding' the last 2 charges on the account. However i don't know if they will actually do this. I'll have to give it a few days and if they don't i'll see what the bank say about my appeal and if i will get this last charge paid back to me.
Never had an account with emusic.com. I don't even have an account on iTunes. And when the charges started I didn't even have a computer, so figure that one out???
I don't know what is going on but if i don't get my money back I will argue with them until i do or it ends up in court. It may only be £9.99 but the point is if they say they cannot refund they are lying and also breaking the law. You do NOT have to pay for a service you are not still or never was receiving. Their no refund policy may be stated in their small print however someone like me who didn't sign up in the first place would not see this and thus their argument is invalid.
I'm surprised i held it together actually because I'm a stutterer and when i get angry i tend to get in a state of crying and not being able to stop. But managed to keep it at a semi-aggressive but not outwardly insulting or threatening manner.
