I ask for a Trial version and they charge me the trial version, and three days after for a premiun service.... Be carefull, do not provide them with your credit card. I have asked the refund of the money, the said that they will do it and I will receive the money back in 5 to 7 day... We will see. (read more)

I stumbled into the organisation when using the address http://ultrafilesdownload.com/. I was seeking out old television and radio programmes. They offered a 3 day trial for £1.99 (I think they operate in various currencies) Ask for Credit Card details, which I foolishly gave. I did not manage to Download anything but when I checked my Credit card statement, I had been debited £1.99 and £59.95 on the third day. I recollected seeing the full price was about £60.00 but had not realised... (read more)

I have been refunded so the exercise has cost £1.99 and a lot of wasted time.

I would like to see such organisations prevented from such sharp practice as I suspect many do not bother or lack the ability or determination to pursue.

I have written one reply, which has vanished as a consequence of not being logged in.

I do not remember a great deal about it, other than I did what I said in my original response, avoided any discussion and just said if I don't get a refund I will demand it from my Credit Card Company (I think it is very wrong these organisations are allowed banking services) and would publish and possibly broadcast my experiences.

If I had not had a refund I would have contacted my County Council Trading Standards Department and/or the UK Government's Office of Fair Trading.
