“You're paying for PIRATED music”

I knew of these websites for some time but never thought to cross their paths. All I knew is these companies (often based in Russia) would simply sell on downloaded or leached files at a fraction of the cost.

Q: WHY ARE THEY SO CHEAP?
A: They aren't a legitimate distributor of music, they don't pay anything to the artists/record labels at all & just sell reproduced copies of songs they have detained.

Q: IS IT LEGAL?
A: Yes it is, In Russia, they do not have any licenced permission to redistribute the song however that isn't need in Russia. It's patchy as to whether or not you purchasing these items is considered legal, but then again you're purchasing off of an unlicenced 'dealer' so yeah it is illegal at the end of it.

Q: IS IT A BARGAIN?
A: Well at the end of the day you are BUYING a pirated version of an album and what's worse (as is the reason I discovered this site) recently my band put out an EP, like a month ago & it has since turned up on this website... that's right our free EP is now being sold for 69cents a copy without any permission what so ever & it's the case with some other artists as well, the fact they are charing money for a free product is awful & I at least know from first hand experience that they do not support the labels or artists in anyways shape or form. So yeah it's a bargain, you can get an entire album for 99cents, until you realize your just paying a bunch of pirates for an illegal/ilegitimate copy of the album, might as well torrent it or use spotify... don't line these guys pockets.

Overall: I'm not going to lie here, the site is superbly designed & whilst I have never purchased anything off here myself it is an incredibly nice looking and functional scam they got going on here. But at the end of the day it is a con for all parties involved, you paying for a pirated copy & for the artists and labels who don't see any cut at all. And this potentially more damaging them pirating (in it's traditional form) as people think it's okay because they're paying for the MP3s so those who usually morally object will now start diverting their money to an illegitimate source. Well designed site but at the end of the day CON CON CON CON.
