Many ads are fake run by fake traders with fake websites.
If your lucky you'll get scammed, if not you could be seriously hurt.
Research the seller, check out the address using satellite maps and street view.
Limited companies can be checked at companies house.
Beware of sellers offering to meet you at stations etc.
Don't carry cash if seeing a car and take someone with you.
Don't let the seller talk you into anything, or try to convince you in any way.
Put yourself in the sellers position, would you sell a car for much less than its worth for a quick sale?
Open your eyes, many scammers use similar methods like bad quality pictures or wording in ads and on fake websites.
I personally think more need to be done to stop these scams, they are run by big gangs and can be very convincing. I'm sure there are some good cars and sellers, but finding them is harder than ever.
Auto trader is too easy for the scammers and fraudster and harder for the honest sellers and buyers.
It takes too long to find a car that is real.
