I initially took out insurance with MCE on my motorcycle which came to a total of £406. It was a bit more as I initially opted for DD payments.

I did another price comaprison serch a week later using the same comaprison website and it came out at £196. This was if I paid in one lump sum. The difference in price is not all due not even slightly down the the DD option.

I only went on to see if I could knock the price down a bit by cancelling the poor recovery cover (which comes as standard so cannot be cancelled).

I'm more than happy with the new price but feel a bit annoyed at the cost of the initail agreement. The advisor I spoke to did wipe the cancellation fee even though it was still in the cooling off period.
