I have just changed my number plate regarding policy reference SMCB23TW02 and was charged £50 for what took only 30 seconds for your worker to change the details.
I believe £50 is a ridiculous fee to charge for what takes 30 seconds to update your system. Updating my registration with Admiral was free.
To charge me, a loyal customer of yours, £50 for a 30 second job, is daylight robbery.
I would like you to please be reasonable, and waive this fee.
If you do not waive the fee, I will perform a credit card chargeback on the payment, and also post details of this sham to BBC watchdog, CompareTheMarket, and Google Reviews.
After that, I will bring this matter to the attention of the UK financial ombudsman.
I will allow you until the end of the week , 3rd March. If I do not receive confirmation that the fee was waived and refunded, I will go ahead with the actions outlined above. I will not be ripped off like this.
Please understand that I am a reasonable person, and I expect you to be reasonable and not rip me off £50 for a simple update to your database that takes literally 30 seconds.
Thank you.

Common theme going on here.......I was charged £55 for a policy that I did online for my 84 yr old father. The policy was not due to start until a fortnight after we had taken it out and paid for it upfront. As a mistake had been made with his date of birth they wanted him to pay a further £300+. So, we asked to vpcancel two whole weeks ahead of the policy being due to start! How did you get on with yours ? I am wondering whether it is worth contacting the financial ombudsman ?
Regards,
