“The online price offered is a sham”

★☆☆☆☆

written by fj_marcin on 31/01/2024

They can't be trusted. Details of my experience: I was offered £2,100 online price and I had a call to discuss everything in detail. Once they arrived they offered £1,850 claiming that they needed to do service on the bike and it had tiny scratches here and there. I personally haven't seen a used motorbike without any scratches. My motorbike is in mint condition, has super low mileage and it was always garaged. Superbikefactory lies about the offered price and I would avoid them.

Do not buy from here !!!!! Do not buy from here !!!!!! I bought from here the bike arrived supposedly with paint and protect wich i paid £ 250 for, absolutely thilthy spiderwebs and all , it certainly never had paint and protect , underside of bike paint covering all the underside had eroded and rust was covering ( No pics on website of this , I asked for bike to be returned and was given a week for collection , bike was collected and then 7 weeks of ignoring my emails and telephone calls before I got my money refunded , head of customer relations and girl had assured me from the very start that I would be taken care off she then went on to ignore me ! 8 weeks my money was out my account and because I refused to pay close brothers the finance I now have 2 missed payments on my credit score for a bike I never even had ! SUPERBIKE THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE !!! . I am in touch with ombudsman as superbike wont return emails or calls regarding fees i occurred due to them holding me £2500 deposit . If you want a Company with after sales help this is not the place , I am still awaiting a reply to my claim . Not a peep

Has anyone had dealings with the… I brought a bike about two weeks ago, Bike turned up with a flat battery, replaced the battery, with they actually paid for. Bike still struggled to start, eventually got the bike to work, went and filled up with petrol, bike stalled in neutral at several traffic lights, after several minutes at the traffic lights trying to get it stared again, the fuel light come on ? and the speedo packed in. packed in at the traffic lights again, and a passing person pointed out to me that the back indicator are hanging down, They have picked the bike up nearly a week ago for a refund, guess what, no one wants to communicate with me, they have the bike and my money, and no communication from the customer service by email or phone, same old message every time, before you buy a bike from them, check the reviews, I should off been out on a British legion bike veteran run this weekend for charity, one fed up customer.

Got in contact Sunday, was contacted later that day, arranged time for viewing. Driver phoned that he was on his way 9am Tuesday. Looked over scooter and transferred agreed price. A very smooth and pleasant process.

“Beyond expectation”

written by Oldguychris on 25/01/2023

I sold my 300 scooter to SBF last week, initially I was sceptical of being tricked, however the whole experience turned out to be honest, quick and professional, on collection/ inspection agreed the scooter was exactly as described and advised the office to pay the full offered price which was transferred to my bank account within minutes. Yes I could have probably made more money by selling privately but considering the risks and time element involved I am absolutely satisfied that going the SBF route was the right decision so much so that my mate with an identical scooter followed suit yesterday with the same satisfactory outcome. Old guy.

“Appalling customer service”

Initial part exchange communications were great. Traded my 2021 Honda rebel 1100 for a gsx1250 2015 in order to free up a bit of much needed cash. On the day of the swap I was presented with a bike (3 hours later than arranged) with not one single piece of documentation therefore I couldn't tax it. I use my motorcycle for work all year round and was due to leave for a night shift on the new bike. After lots of frantic phone calls I was passed a reference number that I could use to tax it. The bike also had a flashing red FI which at the time I stupidly mistook for a fuel warning light as the bike was empty. Filled the bike up on the way to work, warning light still on. Googled and found that FI was fault indicator warning light. .. So to recap... Bike delivered really late. Not one piece of paperwork with the bike. Warning RED F I light on dash, and to top it off the heated grips didn't work and both tyres under inflated. Contacted superbike factory via email straight away as it was later in the evening now. 2 options were given to me the next day.... Fix it yourself and we'll pay as long as its not too much but we want quotes first. They will fix it but it will be gone for weeks. I explained that I need my bike for work each day and none of those are an option. So I asked for my bike back and I would look for another bike. I also said I was on annual leave for the next week and that should be plenty of time to swap the bikes back over. I was then told that I couldn't have my bike back at the same time the broken one is collected as this isn't their procedure. The faulty bike would need to be checked over and assessed before mine could be released. Again I thought, not a problem as I'm off for a week. The faulty bike was picked up leaving 4 days to get my bike back for work. Over the next 4 days lots of emails were sent by myself, none of which were answered, I left messages to ring me back when the phones weren't being picked up. The only way I could actually speak to someone was to try and enquire online via ebay to actually try and buy my Honda Rebel back which was currently still up for sale on their website and Ebay. Needless to say, 5 minutes after enquiring I get a phonecall from the sales department who, after I explained I was trying to buy my own bike back, passed me to the correct department. Even after talking to the right department I still am in no better a situation. Hundreds down from, tax, insurance and deposit. Still haven't got my bike back and no way of getting to work.. and to top it off, my bike is still for sale on both sites. Fuming is an understatement right now... PART 2 Unbelievably bad. After my last review, surprise surprise someone rang me to discuss the problem. A very nice lady said she had sorted everything out and that I would finally get my bike back (please read last review for details) I was told my bike was due for delivery yesterday (monday) Took a day off work to receive it. Nothing turns up. 3 emails, 4 phone calls later I speak to a manager of some sort. He looked into the case and promised a phonecal the next day between 12 and 1pm. The solution being, either get my bike back within 24 hours or give me more money and they can keep it. Needless to say no phoncall to me. Another 3 emails and at 17.30 ish tonight I get a reply back saying my bike is now coming back on Friday 4th... We shall wait and see. I have never been subjected to such bad customer service ever, as I have over the last 3 weeks. All I want is my bike back

“Illegally selling bikes - Do not trust them”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Kimisaki6 on 24/09/2022

Do not trust this company and sales pitch of "our bikes come HPI clear and checked before sale". False advertisement and illegally selling bikes. I purchased a 2017 Ducati 1299 for £14500. Unfortunately, I was involved in an RTI and the bike was wrote off. My insurance company refuses to pay out because there's outstanding finance on the bike from its previous owner back in 2020. I have complained to the Superbike Factory as they need to clear the finance before my insurance company can pay out. After many emails and calls, they have ghosted me and have not wanted to help in the slightest, even though it's their fault for illegally selling a bike with outstanding finance and without informing me of such notice. Due to their ignorance and poor service, I am now having to instruct a solicitor to get them to sort the issue.

“UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR”

written by HaiderAkbar on 14/02/2022

Pathetic customer service, I sold my bike to them and they took my V5 and told me that they will do all the paper work and will inform the DVLA but they didn't even bother to inform the DVLA for 6 months and didn't even pay the tax. After 6 months DVLA sent me the penality that the bike was not taxed, I tried to superbike many times but they ignored all my calls and emails. SUCH A PATHETIC UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR.

Write a letter to the DVLA directly & tell them the issue. I had this EXACT same issue with my old Suzuki & DVLA no longer required me to pay any penalty as a result.

“Beyond awful customer service”

★☆☆☆☆

written by KevinRockhead on 24/11/2021

In January 2020 I bought a Truimph Bonneville from Superbike Factory. At the time of purchase the mot would expire within a couple of weeks. I was assured that when the bike was delivered, the mot would have been carried out. It wasn't. While having to deal with making funeral arrangements for my mother who had passed away I also had to try to arrange an emergency mot for the bike. Superbike Factory apologised, saying they had a new computer system and the bike had slipped through the cracks. But they did offer to reimburse me for the cost of the mot. I bring up this story as an example of their incompetence and serious lack of customer service. Fast forward to October 2021, I decided to give them a second chance and wanted to get a Honda Deauville from them to use as my winter transport. After dealing with a member of the team over the phone who helped organise finance for me, I was told that due to a backlog, the bike would be ready for delivery within 7-14 days. However, I could use their online portal to check on the bike's progress. After 16 days passed and no word about delivery, I used the online portal to try and get an update. I was told simply "they are waiting for parts to be delivered". Several times since then, I have messaged over and over again, only to continually received the same non-urgent response about waiting for parts to be delivered. Finally, after a month, I sent a message stating I wanted someone to call me to give me a proper reason as to why the bike has been delayed. I was contacted by a man, supposedly the assistant sales manager. He apologised for the numerous messages fobbing me off. After he did some investigating, it turns out they have been waiting for the wires that connect to the spark plugs to be delivered by their supplier in Europe. They should arrive in three weeks time!! However, after voicing my displeasure, he assured me he would contact staff who work in the garage and see if they could get the parts from a different supplier. He called me back within a couple of hours and I was told the parts should arrive by Tuesday 23rd November and would be put on the bike immediately. It is 24th November today. I have sent a message requesting an update on the bike. I have had no response. They are clearly ignoring me, as the bike obviously is not ready to be delivered. I let them know I am cancelling the purchase and want a full refund of the deposit I paid. If they give me any excuses or problems with this I shall be contacting trading standards and financial ombudsman to put in a formal complaint. Avoid this company like the plague. If I could give them zero stars then I would do. Save your money and stress levels and go with any other bike dealer you can find. Don't let the flashy website fool you.

Bought a bike with only 200 miles on it. Must be ok right? Arrived with a dead battery and broken electronics. It's currently taken over two months and it's still not fixed despite buying the extended warranty. Safer to buy off eBay. They don't check their bikes and sell dangerous vehicles in unroadworthy condition. Avoid this place like the plague. Do a quick search for their name, you will see that they aggressively sell to then leave you dangling

“Faulty Brakes”

★☆☆☆☆

written by H.H.daly on 10/04/2021

I traded in my Victory Crossroads for a 1200 Triumph Speedmaster .Had it delivered. They hadn't even bothered to clean it. When I eventually took it out for a ride I thought the rear Brakes were not very responsive.Removed rear brake pads to find that one of the steel backing plate which holds the pads was actually bent quite badly which prevented the pads from being pushed on to the Discs. The Bike had not only been delivered not cleaned, but also unsafe, which means that they had not even checked the bike over before selling it to me,or possibly they had checked it and just did nothing about it?? I would never buy from these people again, If you intend getting a Bike from them, make sure you check it over before taking it home , better still go elsewhere!! Whoever buys it I hope they check it fully as I sold it to them needing attention to the ABS, which they were fully aware of!!

“Avoid, buy elsewhere”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Z125 on 08/12/2020

Avoid this business and buy somewhere else. After seeing a 2019 Kawasaki Z125 bike advertised on Autotrader with 400 miles recorded, I made an enquiry and placed a Deposit of £500 plus an additional £99 Admin fee not listed anywhere on Autotrader advert. Later told Admin Fee details were stated on their website, still couldn`t find it. I was advised it was ready to collect but then told I couldn`t that day, all appointments had been taken, so arranged to collect the following day. I was informed I would need to clear the balance via Bank Transfer before collecting, I Declined and stated I was paying by Credit Card in person once I`d seen the bike. Never pay by Bank Transfer, always by Credit Card, you are entitled to far more help should you require it. Travelled from Knowsley to Macclesfield, an hours journey, On arrival we rang the doorbell and waited for a very long time outside before the bike was presented to us with engine running. Due to Covid-19 restrictions Nobody allowed in store. Little did I know that it had a faulty battery, and that was why it had taken so long to bring out as they were jumpstarting it. What a Despicable way to do business! Ironic really as when asking about why they charge a £99 Admin Fee?, the reply was " We are not a back street garage anymore, the £99 fee is to prepare the vehicle for collection" Clearly this wasn`t the case in this instance. after inspecting the bike without a permitted Test ride, I paid the remaining £2500 balance, quick ride around the car park, loaded and drove home. At no point whatsoever was I ever told about the faulty battery, and only discovered the following day after it wouldn`t start. Tool kit from under seat also missing, not something you'd expect for such a New bike. After several phone calls, emails etc over a week out of a 4 week warranty without use, I had to fit a replacement battery myself, they sent the wrong one at first and then corrected the issue after I sent a photo of the original battery. not something you would expect to need to do, after all they are a Motorcycle dealers. I received a £50 store voucher that I had to chase, placed the order and the had to chase that up too. eventually the order arrived. I don`t feel grateful for the voucher as the experience took up a fair bit of time and I`d paid a £99 fee anyway. This was only a temporary bike and will be upgrading very soon, I will not be returning to trade in or purchase again. I will make sure I inform as many people as possible about this experience and the way you treat customers, so they don`t have the same experience. Buyer Beware.

“Absolute joke - do not buy.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by G187 on 16/07/2020

Drag bikes up from a pond, push them straight out to unsuspecting customers. Complete lack of customer service regarding concerns about the bike I was there to collect. Just a shrug of the shoulders from the staff, probably in the knowledge that the next fool through the door will. Not quite the bargain they seem when you factor in they generally all are due a big service and zero warranty unless you pay. The one that was apparently “ready” for me would have needed sprockets, chain and tyres soon enough as well. Factor that lot in and we are well into the realm of real motorbike dealers. Of course, one persons concerns mean little to them so all I can do is pass on my experience to allow others to make an informed decision on purchasing from this company.

“Hassle free motorcycle sale. ”

written by Leonzx10r on 03/06/2020

So I don’t usually leave reviews but feel this company deserve one. Just yesterday I sold my bike to these guys. Very straight forward process, the collection/inspection driver was incredibly polite and professional. He carried out his inspection and was more then happy with bike, the price I was offered was not adjusted or any haggling of any kind. Full amount was payed into my account with in minutes. Also gave me a very good price slightly less than I could have made with a private sale, but we all know how these usually turn out (time wasters) I’ve never bought a bike from these guys so I can’t comment on that side but mine was 100% very good condition and the driver's inspection was in-depth. So if this is the kind of stock they purchase I’d have no dramas buying a used bike from them. Defiantly worth my 5 star rating.

Part ex my victory crossroads , when they came to collect the drive didn't even have a licence, he gave it a quick once over then he asked me if I wanted to ride the bike into the van,not sure if he knew the ABS wasn't working on it ,so he would never have picked it up without riding it , S/bike Factory knew it was not working when I emailed them about trade in!

“When looking for my new bike I didn't want to buy...”

★☆☆☆☆

written by olityler on 14/04/2020

When looking for my new bike I didn't want to buy privately and risk getting something with multiple hidden issues so bit the bullet and paid roughly 25% over the value of the bike in the assumption the bike would be well checked over. How wrong I was. The bike was supposedly given an MOT before delivery but it's arrived with a warped brake disc and contaminated pads which should have caused it to fail. On top of this the seals on the hydraulic clutch were about to collapse. When I spoke to them about this the guy I spoke to all but admitted that their mechanics are instructed to churn bikes out as fast as possible. They're dodgy and you'll end up paying way more for a bike that may not even be ridable. You'll also have to put up with their very hard selling techniques to get you to pay for optional extras.

I bought my triumph speedmaster 1200/2019 from them dec last year rear brake wasn't working properly , removed calliper to find one of the steel plst on one of the pads was bent back almost 5mm stopping the actual pad from contacting the disc, there was nothing wrong with the disc which means the pad must have been put in in that condition!!My bike was delivered not even having been cleaned!

“What a nightmere”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Whisky81 on 02/06/2019

Superbike factory, oh dear what can I say other than what a complete shambles your company is. To cut a long story short they sold me a bike which had a replacement engine fitted which I discovered once the log book turned up which they said they knew nothing about and couldn't confirm when the engine was fitted or what mileage or service history the engine had, yes I should of checked myself that the engine number in log book matched the engine number on V5 before I bought the bike but i didn't think I needed to after speaking to the sales man who rambled on for half an hour about how great the shop is and how all the bikes are professonally checked over before they're bought. After requesting a refund they finally picked bike up 13 days later then told me the funds were released 8 days after they had the bike back but would have to wait upto 5 days for funds to be released, 5 days later still no refund so after speaking to complaints depatment it turns out the funds had not been released because someone had lost one of the keys and they then asked me where abouts in the pack I sent back with their team had I put them!? After ringing the shop and harrassing the sales team for days I finally managed to speak to one of the shop bosses after ringing a 100 times as the managers are never conveniently there or never return calls or emails, he then confirmed the shop had both keys and said he would tell finance to release funds. 2 days later I finally got refund after harrasing shop manager, complaints department and accounts for weeks. If you buy a bike from this place just make sure your happy with everything and that engine numbers matches the log book because the shop obviously don't check that and your going to be in for a rough ride trying to get your money back if things go wrong. The fact they have a complaints department what does that tell you? All in all I waitied 6 weeks and 1 day after first requesting a refund to actually recieve it and that was after about 100 phone calls lots and lots of emails. I also requested a refund for an oil and filter change I had done before the log book turned up but they said no despite me having a receipt. At the end of it all I got a "oh sorry about this" down the phone off the complaints team with no written apology or email, anyway thanks for making me wait 6 weeks for refund and leaving me £100's out of pocket from the oil service I had done plus van hire and fuel to pick the bike up. If I hadn't of harrased the life out of these people I think I'd still be waiting for my money back. Dont buy a Honda Fireblade reg number BF05VGM from this place as it's not the original engine and they don't know where the engine has come from or what miles it's done. I have kept this review short i could have said alot more like waiting 11 days forvthem to get bike ready, just dont go there.

“Do not buy a bike from here”

★☆☆☆☆

written by StanRamsden on 20/05/2019

I recently purchased an 08 Triumph Speed Triple from super bike factory, wanted one for years and it was advertised and looked in really good condition. After it was delivered I was over the moon (I named it Roxanne), though there was initially a problem with it occasionally sticking in 1st gear, not huge and suspected it might just need a new clutch cable or adjustment, the gear sticking got worse over the following days..... Then there were also issues with the bike never starting 1st time with the starter motor 'whirring', suspecting either the sprag clutch or the starter motor, this on a bike that supposedly underwent a thorough inspection and test prior to delivery these are very obvious faults. I was still in love though and a bit in denial that these might be easy fixes. The fun really started when out and it very suddenly lost power and stuttered to a stop (this being 8 days and a temperamental 200 miles after delivery), SBF were my 2nd call after the AA as I wanted to confirm what i would need to do in order to preserve the 30 day warranty.. They informed me that I could take it to a local garage to have it diagnosed as I live in Sunderland and SBF is Macclesfield. I had its lifeless remains picked up by my local garage 2 days later and they very quickly identified 3 fault codes, they suspected a simple electrical fault as 3 sensors (to do with throttle and air flow) all had short circuit/low voltage, and they communicated with SBF for permission to fix this (1hr labour) to get it running so they could move on to the gearbox and starting issue. During this time I had gone through the service history specifics and noticed it hadn't been touched for 4 years to the week (that part was definitely not advertised or mentioned on the phone). At this point I was really having nightmares about the gearbox. Then came the lack of communication, nobody would give the go ahead, nobody returned calls, so after a week I ended up making a complaint. This made no difference whatsoever as their complaints team don't have a number you can call into, you get through to sales, and apparently they can't transfer you through but will inform complaints that you called and you'll get called back........ When they say that they will call then it's hit and miss over a 2 day period of when that will be, which doesn't work very well for most people who have jobs, and compared to when selling a bike, don't give much effort with email turnaround times either. 11 days after the bike broke down and I finally get a response saying their head technician (I would love to see this persons qualifications) wants to collect the bike for further diagnosis, admitting it could be a few quick fixes or a more serious problem. By this point I am sick and regardless of their fix, (that I wouldn't be able to witness and test), I would forever being having worries about the gearbox. I informed them that i would like to return the bike for a full refund, due to its condition and service history which was not as advertised. This was actually sharply agreed and it was to be collected on May 7th from local garage that still had it. Which it was, along with all of the paper work and keys etc. I specifically asked when my refund would be back with me as I would need to sort out a new bike for transport (I put my last bike in as part exchange), and was advised 'unofficially its 5 working days after them receiving the bike', i accepted that because I just wanted rid. 13 days after they picked it up, no refund, no managers or any personnel in finance or accounts that can speak to me, and just emails saying they'll let me know when there's a date or the one person in their organisation that can action a refund has been on holiday, or isn't there. I've now raised a merchant dispute case with my bank as I have no faith in ever seeing my money again, and I'm reporting the company to both Action Fraud and Trading Standards. I would strongly recommend against buying a bike from here unless you live within pushing distance of the showroom, especially if its a Black Speed Triple that answers to Roxanne.
