With the Co-operative Home Insurance for over 50 years claim made following advice from local solicitor over neighbours tree causing damage to my wall, Claim was for repair to wall. stage 1 - passed to Co-op legal stage 2 passed to Colemans-ctts stage 3 9 months letter writing frenzies stage 4 Colemans fraternised with opponent stage 5 complaint to ombudsman
OUTCOME -The CIS, Colemans and Ombudman sympathised with the tearful neighbour insisting I wanted to take her to court over her tree. FACT Tearful neighbour had no home insurance had tree removed has sold the house holds 60% share of equity. Me I still have a damaged wall have to accept my neighbour punches holes in my fence have to accept foul water from her blocked drains running under my fence put up with paint splattered over my wall and everything she can propped aganst my wall plus a view from my front window of her garden continually strewn with rubbish. My daughter and I no longer have home insurance with the CIS and would never recommend them.
