We are over 2 months in, they keep on asking for new information and driving us insane. We need to exchange today or we loose the house - and still nothing.......... The most stressful and horrendous experience ever!
We originally applied in November but that offer expired, so we had to reapply. You would of thought it would of been quicker as they already had done the assessments but no in fact it has taken longer. Information that wasn't needed before was now (although no circumstances have changed) and we were told it was because of the LIBOR scandal...but what's the got to do with my mortgage application??!
When a question came up, we responded instantly but the best we could get out of them when submitting documents 9am on Monday morning, was confirmation that they had been received by Friday!!!
You need the patience of a saint and all the time in the world if you want a mortgage with the Woolwich.
