Nationwide agreed our mortgage in principle took a £99 payment and sent it over to the solicitors. The paperwork was issued then we were about to sign and return when the financial advisor received a call saying case declined. They did not provided a reason and that was the end of that. The request 6 months bank statements, payslips which were passed on affordability.
I will never use nationwide again and will advise everyone I know to stay well away. I suggest to anyone who has similar experiences to contact the FCA to get them investigated as they mess with you take a non refundable fee and they through it out. Disgusting behaviour and service from them.
