Myself and partner applied for a nationwide mortgage. She's self employed (just finished two full years) and i'm a stay at home dad. We only had a 5% deposit so have had assistance from a housing association (30%). After reading all the negativity on here about going overdrawn twice and being turned down and the self confessed millionaire that got turned down we assumed the outlook wasn't good.

Unfortunately for all the doom mongerers out there, we have been approved for a mortgage. Solicitors are exchanging contracts and we hope to complete on the 15th march. all in all the whole process has taken less than 4 weeks.
