I have been a customer of Natwest for over 20 years and went to get a mortgage after finally saving up the deposit. I was given the impression it would be straightforward. I was given conflicting advice, left waiting weeks for a reply to questions and finally refused although my credit rating went from good to excellent throughout the process! I am now in the position of having to start applying again and could well lose the offer so far accepted by the vendor on the flat. Needless to say I will not be a customer of this bank for very much longer !
