I am still waiting for my buyer to get a mortgage from HSBC since making an offer on my house in March... when all he is doing is porting his mortgage as a current HSBC mortgage holder.....as you will see from all reviews HSBC take ages and ages....I went with Lloyds and got my offer and survey complete within a couple of weeks.......its taken HSBC coming up 5 months and my buyer still hasn't had a survey done...... based on my experience and from what I see on here if you go with HSBC there is a good chance that your chain will collapse due to their appallingly slow service
