Have such a high staff turn over and terrible constantly changing structure that means the client is constantly shifted between consultants and admin. Absolutely awful service received from these guys. Should have known when they were trying to use the wrong Help To Buy forms we were in for trouble. Mortgage broker gave incorrect advice, we had to chase him for our key facts documentation, didn't reply to important emails and eventually just seemed to drop off the face of the earth. This is the second time i've purchased new build and i can honestly say the new homes group are a lot better than the previous guys we used. From the off the contact centre was fantastic at answering our questions and sorting out our credit check quickly. We were seen within the week (something our bank couldn't even do) by our mortgage advisor. “Poor service, forever chasing them...”

Started off wonderfully, helpful mortgage adviser, found the right mortgage for us. Then you get passed on to someone else who is juggling 50 other clients. “Great service if you want to lose money ”

Just browsing the internet and find a nice little property slightly expensive but thought would enquire anyway through bellway homes. After spending a good few hours at the build site we thought we would give it a go as a first time buyer. Absolutely agree with your comments. We did the same, but we have now submitted a long letter of complaint to New Homes Mortgages and the Financial Ombudsman and the Financial Conduct Authority, regarding our application experience. It's not the fact we didn't get the mortgage, it's the whole application process that's flawed in our opinion which cost us a lot of money and created a great deal of stress. Their processes need investigating and we have asked for a full review to be carried out.

Do not use this company at all. We gave NHM's all the information they needed - everything, but then it's passed to a very inexperienced Advisor who knew very little about mortgages. We failed on the credit checks but they pushed us to send money to our solicitor for the search fees (so lost £250.00), paid £99.00 reservation fee for the house and lost that, paid £250.00 for the poor service by the advisor and now trying to get back the £250.00 from Natwest for the application process and… Read Full Review

New Homes and our adviser have been fantastic. We have had some complications along the way but that has been made much easier with the constant contact and communication and regular updates. We are also first time buyers so have had lots of questions and have always had these answered and things explained to us thoroughly. Do not use The New Homes Group. They do not research the product best for your needs and situation and operate with no attention to detail without care or attention to detail. Over priced service that I wouldn't even use again if it was free. I used them in conjunction with Redrow as they would have complete transparency with my sale and speed up the sale. Absolutely, totally agree. We were led to believe we had secured a mortgage, then after they took all our money, told us we failed! Deceitful, unprofessional and the staff are extremely rude....we were made to feel like criminals.

What a good idea! I think we will be doing the same. This process needs investigating in our opinion. It's not the fact we didn't get the mortgage, it's the fact that they obviously knew we wouldn't but continued to take our money.

They have been very helpful from the start with very practical advice. it was also very advantageous that they were open on the weekends, I never had any trouble trying to get hold of them, they always rang back when they said they would. Generally very helpful and efficient. Terrible company. We had exactly the same experience. New Homes Mortgages failed to give the Mortgage Advisor some of the information. So he walked away with our £250.00 but we failed on credit checks even though we told New Homes Mortgages our situation. Very rude member of staff made us feel like a criminal. Horrid and left with a very bitter taste in our mouth and £550.00 out of pocket!

I am in the process of part exchange with a new build, unfortunately I walked into minefield as they Broker and Developer are very much in bed together delaying the process to suit the developer. I was encouraged to use them by the developer for speed which has been anything but speed and cost me the Fee for the broker. I would strongly advise against using this company due to the fact they do not find an mortgage based on your requirements. I have have an number (more than 4 ) issues with this company, and been told in writing one thing to then get told another.
