I took out the maximum draw-down mortgage and was very pleased with the service until I tried stopping the junk mail offering me further draw down deals which I can't do because I have had the maximum monies possible. For decades we have used a minister of religin to do this and at first, it was suggested this was no longer acceptable. After our objection, this was agreed. The representative from age partnership worked for me to get the best return for a relatively small pension pot. He was very helpful and I spoke to the same person throughout the whole process. He explained everything in detail and helped with filling in all the relevant forms. Insurance companies give you an annuity quote and then delays in the transfers of sums result in a lower annuity being awarded. This seesm to be par for the course. Indeed it was quite the reverse, as I didn't have to do anything.
