I sent in around 30 items. I was told 3 of these were damaged and as such would not get paid for them. 1 of these items was the most valuable in the pack, and was definitely not damaged. It was infact, new, unwatched. The other 2 were also unwatched and in perfect condition. Apparantly, they were damaged in transit. The box itself was packed to the brim, nothing could have possibly moved around, and these items in particular, being the most valuable, were packaged in the securest... (read more)

Out of around 100 books including fiction and non-fiction which I wanted to sell to Zapper, the site accepted only about 20. (Which was still better than some other websites). However in terms of price many of the other websites offered slightly better rates for individual books. (read more)

Prices seem to be dropping to about 25p for most books and CDs. Becoming very difficult to make up a £10 order due to low offer prices so should move to minimum number of items rather than value to complete a sale like Music Magpie. If a sale can't be completed in 7 days then open list is reviewed by Zapper and items are usually rejected by Zapper as no longer required. This makes the process of finding the average 35-40 items required to complete a sale more difficult. Frustratingly,... (read more)

I found the process of using Zapper easy & what they offered me for my items was better than other buyers I had tried. I only had to take my parcel to my local shop, for the courier they organised,to collect it. They contacted me the next day, to let me know they had received it & then again, once my delivery had been checked. I didn't have to wait too long before I received my cheque. The transaction went smoothly & I have recommended to my friends & will to you. I will be using again in... (read more)

On the negative side; only take a small proportion of what's offered. But a great deal more than in the past. And have at long last sorted their website out. Could do with offering a bit more for Cd's and DVDs. However compared with other sites they have now gone from bad to pretty good. Keep on improving (still room) it make life much more pleasurable. Zapper offered excellent rates for my unwanted items, so much so that Zapper gave me 75% more for my things than music magpie! Do I need to say anymore. The Web site easy to navigate and use, and if your item is not required instead of offering you a pittance of a few pennies they give you a comprehensive reason as to why they do not need your unwanted CD's etc. Once you have accepted their offer, its as easy as printing a label, boxing the sold items, they even give you instructions on... Good that they buy your old CDs/DVDs and books but their prices are not really tempting at all. However, if you are in short of money, it is somewhere you can cash some money in. One other thing not good about Zapper is that they take 2 weeks to send you the cheque!!! (read more)

Great to be able to offload unwanted cds dvds and books that might not sell on amazon or ebay and be guaranteed a return on them. A pity older items not accepted even if in very good condition or barcodes not recognised which seems strange! Without courier pick ups it means amount of items sold is limited unless you have means of transporting them to pick up points. But still worked well for me and will use it again in future. i was reccomended to zapper by a good friend and i easily found zapper on the internet i loved the way it guided me through the rules of selling my unwanted books and dvd's i think the entering of the bar codes is so much fun it feels very professional and somehow reassuring when it tells you how much you could get for you're item and if there were to many of the item it was that easy i will certainly be using zapper again. good- displays book title, only £10 minimum poor - very low prices, prices change too frequently and books drop off list. I have had a book accepted and then withdrawn within two minutes, I have had price change from price quoted before log in to that after log in moments later. This is unfair and misleading. I have taken weeks to get £10 of stuff together - due to low prices and items being deleted. I have had an item deleted which I have immediately re submitted and got accepted again.... (read more)

This is a very easy way to get a bit of cash for your old cds, games, dvds and books. The cash soon mounts up,it looks a little to start with but you will surprised by the total. Just pack in a box ( which you should get before you start),then follow the instructions, pack, send off( which is free) and wait for the cheque to arrive. I have loads of books I need to clear out, and this site looked ideal. When I came to input them however, most of the books were rejected and I ended up having sixteen or so out of forty two accepted. To be fair, they do say only twenty per cent of books will be accepted, but i was surprised at some of the ones they declined. I received the grand total of £16.30, of which £5 was for one text book. In general very good, but even better if alternative use of Royal Mail allowed for in cases like ours where the nearest Collect + point is more than 5 miles away, so making collection costly and inconvenient. It is frustrating when books disappear from and then return again to the wanted list - in some cases far better values are offered by both Amazon and WeBuyBooks. To counter that, many books are acceptable to Zapper that are not wanted by either Amazon or WeBuyBooks. £10 is a large... (read more)

I must admit to being sceptical as to whether or not I would actually receive the money for sending my DVD's to Zapper but decided to give it a try. The service was very good; took my parcel to a local shop on a Saturday and it was received by Zapper the following Tuesday. And no postage to pay! Zapper offers very competitive rates for the DVDs and CDs it buys from customers - when comparing to other well-known media buying sites, I found Zapper gave me the best price overall for the majority of my products. The service was quick and easy to use - the worst bit is inputting barcodes onto the website, but this can't be avoided and doesn't take too much effort. Selling to Zapper was surprisingly easy and hassle free. They gave me a decent price for my stuff, the postal service was easy and they processed the order more quickly than other similar companies do. All in all though it was a very smooth and simple process and got me some extra pocket-money so I am happy. (read more)

I think this is a brilliant site. You won't make millions from it but it is a very good way to clear some space on your shelves. I got rid of some DVDs and CDs. I do have lots of books which I wish they accepted, but unfortunately they don't. This is the 2nd time I have used them, and I am sure I will use them again. 1 last thing that would improve the service is if they paid directly into your account, but apart from that, very happy. I managed to sell a load of CDs, books and DVDs and ended up with over £50. This was stuff that had been sitting on my shelves for years. The good point about zapper is that they take a wider number of books than other sites. However for almost any book accepted by an alternative site the price elsewhere is better often much better. Consequently even though the minimum price is only £10 it can mean finding 30 books before you get there. In building a sale therefore it is a complete pain that the site refreshes the list so often - how often have I got to £8 or $9 and the site refreshes -several books are rejected and several... Saw Zapper on Dragon's Den, knew it was a great concept - Music Magpie is very successful but doesn't take books unlike Zapper. I was decluttering anyway so sold numerous old books, games and CDs to Zapper.
