When I could not be in for the collection the customer service team where very helpful and offered that they could book my collection from an alternative address. Overall the service was great, quick pick up and the turn around was superb.... BUT and this is a BIG BUT.... BEWARE.... I weighed my bags beforehand 1 x 26.8kg 1 x 25.4kg 1 x 24kg I was actually paid very promptly for 62kg unfortunately I sent in 76.2 kg 5kg of clothing was stated as unaccepted. so instead of £45 I actually got just over £36. Now Clothes for Cash will tell you all bags are weighed by City Link Couriers, my advice is weigh your bags very carefully and take video... (read more)

There are so many companies out there, a lot now come to your door to collect and give cash on collection, (even for unaccepted clothing) the trouble is it depends what search engine you use, don't just Google it, and actually my bags were stripped by around 20% I should have got £45 they actually gave me £37, it's also very interesting if they don't like negative comments they get them removed, I have had to fight for 3 days to get this put back on, how many others were removed and people asked to put all personal details to the complaint made, I would also like to point out 9kg of clothing just vanished in my opinion you should weigh the clothing very carefully take video evidence, and fight to get your review put back on if it is removed, don't let bully tactics put you off!!

Hi, I've recently had confirmation of payment from ClothesforCash..really NOT happy that they seem to think it weighed only 12kg and therefore I received a paltry £7.20 for my efforts. I will NOT be using again and will NOT be recommending. I was naive and did not weigh (I tried but my scales didn't work..). I would strongly weigh and itemise and take a photo before using a company such as ClothesforCash. Am thankful that I kept hold of some clothing to put on EBay..I have the time, others are not so fortunate..companies such as these are ripping busy hard working people off!

Clothes for cash are total rip offs, they tried so hard to get my review removed I eventually had to fight for around 4 weeks, and provide my name address and all proof of everything I stated, The wording in the reviews they get seems very similar as well, go thru them.... very suspicious,... I now use a company that comes to my door and collects no questions asked, 80p a kilo, collections only in London though mainly east london they are brilliant! Perhaps clothes for cash should be put on ROGUE TRADERS?

No sorry, we found our clothes collector on Gumtree, ask around on Facebook "WELL JEL SWAP AND SELL" in your local area, and use various search engines if you use Google clothesforcash always come up, so try as many as possible, I wasted a lot of money using Clothesforcash and regret ever using them, good luck in your search .

I found clothesforcash.com a really simple and easy way to clear out before xmas as with two kids they have grown out of and accumulating in a large quantity this was perfect. We are sorry that you feel disappointed with the amount you have generated from your clothing.
As stated on our website very clearly and also in the terms & conditions that you ticked as read and accepted when requesting your free collection pack, we pay 60 pence per kilogram for all types/brands/designs of clothing that we accept as per the "what we buy" page. We are not an auction site and the value of the garments is simply based upon their weight.
If you are in any doubt that we are incorrectly weighing clothing sacks please note that our couriers – City Link (an independent third party) weigh every sack (calibrated by the Department of Transport) they collect for their own reference and therefore independent sack weights have been made to satisfy the validity of our own weight measurements since we pay for your free collection.
We check and process every item clothing with two people to a table, so no one person can make a mistake! Plus the tables have glass tops and lights on above and below in order to help spot marks, stains, rips tears etc. The main areas we check where many people forget to look is the underarms of tops where in many cases deodorant stains and marks are found and the bottom of tops (the hem) where many stains and marks are hidden from view.
