I purchased an "unlocked" Samsung S3 NEO phone from Carphone Warehouse (UK) and sent the packaged box unopened to my friend in Brasil. The phone requests an unlock code when he inserts a local SIM (ie. the phone is still locked within the region).  Carphone Warehouse confirmed that I should have inserted a UK SIM and made a 5 minute call to activate the "unlocking" of the phone. What can my friend in Brasil do to remove the region lock (without sending the phone back to the UK)? Many thanks.

I also had a locked phone when I put my SIM card in, if you look on EBAY on how to unlock your phone (mine only cost a couple of pounds) DON,T pay more then £10.all he wanted was my phones item number its on your phone,he then sent a email back telling me what to do and a number which unlocks it from start to finish it was no more then 15 min. GOOD LUCK. (Remember mine cost just a couple of pounds)

I used the They were very professional & speedy company. They might be able to help you with this problem. My Samsung was bought in the U.K. but there's no harm in trying.
