“Great Unlocking Service”

Written on: 24/07/2014 by policedrummer (2 reviews written)

I have used MobileInCanada numerous times for friends and family members and found their service to be fast, reasonable priced and their website explains in very simple terms how to unlock your phone. If they could not provide an unlock code they issue an immediate refund (suggest you pay with PayPal - makes it easier to track your order)… Read Full Review

“Do Not Use”

Written on: 17/07/2014

Took my money, did not provide a functioning unlock code, did not respond in any useful way to support requests. Did not refund or apologize. After several days, I went back to Telus to unlock. Telus was helpful. Use MobileInCanada at your risk. They stole my money… Read Full Review

“WORST Service, Threatening to Take me to Collections?”

Written on: 16/05/2014 by Chances283 (1 review written)

I ordered MobileInCanada service on a Friday and it wasn't until the next Tuesday that they admitted they couldn't provide the service they advertised. It took me about 10 times of asking for a refund for them to say that they would, and it has been 4 more days since then and I still have not seen the refund. Terrible service, rude, unavailable and now they have emailed me saying that they are taking me to a collections agency for not following their refund policy? It doesn't even make sense!… Read Full Review

“Delivered the goods”

Written on: 04/04/2014 by Summer497 (1 review written)

I purchased prepaid phones to take overseas and use WorldSim to make calls. When I contacted the cell provider about getting the unlock code I was told it would be $35 for the unlock code. Reason: because they were losing money by unlocking the phone so they needed to gouge me some how. I searched the web and found MobileInCanada. I put in my IMEI code, paid $21 for each phone. I got an email saying they were processing the request and then after a bit they sent me an email telling me the code… Read Full Review

“I was searching for a cell phone unlocking code and...”

Written on: 03/03/2014 by Jairo.A (1 review written)

I was searching for a cell phone unlocking code and was directed to mobileincanada.com, I chose to use their service because others had posted good things about them on their site and also because they accept interac as a form of payment seeing as to how I don't have a credit card, so I placed my order which I was forced to pay before receiving confirmation of my order, and they confirmed in an email they sent me that my order was being processed, well now it has been well over 36 hours and I… Read Full Review

Jairo.a's Response to Jairo.A's Review

Written on: 04/03/2014

Finally got my full refund as well as a reply, of course it wasn't until I threatened to take legal action against them and told them that my first action would to to report them the "the better business bureau". No more than about 3 minutes later they replied stating that my money had been refunded and they did not wish to do any more business with me anymore. I couldn't even message them back to say thanks for the refund because they had blocked my emails from getting through "LOL.
Thank you Better Business Bureau.

tell them you will be reporting them to the "better business bureau" any taking legal action against them if they don't give you a full refund, let them know if you end up in court it will cost them a whole lot more,
the idea is to scare them enough.

Will do! I checked out the process to file a complaint against them on BBB and of course they don't have an address or contact info. Their company name on my credit card statement is different than their website too.

Thanks for the advice!

maybe that's one thing you can use against them, tell them you are going to report them to the RCMP and maybe even sue them, but first you would have to charge them, so if you haven't done anything wrong for them to be keeping your money than you can speak to a court duty council person and they would tell you how you can take the company to a small claims court, I would sue them for the time I had to spend in court out missing a days work as well as any lawyers fees if it came down to me getting a lawyer, although I don't think you would get a lawyer for small claims, not worth the lawyer fee, you can get advice from a lawyer. let them know you're seeking legal advice and will be taking them to court soon...

The refund should only take a few minutes once they begin the refund process, but you have to harass them, try not to be vulgar in your words, so don't swear at them because they may use it as an excuse to refuse to refund you, but still you have to message them several times,
it took me about 4 times without them replying back and only replied back to me after I had threatened to report them to
"The better Business Bureau".
what I said to them was that "at this point I do not even want a code from them anymore because I am afraid the code may not even work, so I simply want my money refunded or else I will have no choice but to take Legal action against you and my first action will be to report you to the Better Business bureau,
try this and let me know if it works for you as well, after threatening them with this, they replied to me very quickly whin about 2-3 minutes, telling me that my money was refunded to my account and they did not wish to ever do business with me again.

not sure where you live but I live in the area of Brampton ON,
and I simply went to a cellular store close by and it only cost me $35. to unlock a Blackberry z10 locked to Rogers,
also it was very quick, I went to the store and paid and the gentleman called me just 2 hours later with my code, I installed it and worked like a charm,
as for Iphone 5 codes, they are very expensive, all codes for iphones from Rogers cost between $100-$150,
I could call the store and find out for you to be sure and maybe you can work your form of payment with them somehow, maybe through interact from your bank or even credit card but this business is legit.

“Stole $40”

Written on: 30/01/2014

Advertise on their website they unlock for videotron, which is not true. YOU CANNOT UNLOCK FOR THAT SERVICE PROVIDER. I fell into their trap and paid for it, getting no results. their unlock code did not work, and they only told me it was my fault. When i asked for a refund they said i should have known if the phone was compatible first. If that was the case, what is the use in unlocking?!! They wont refund me or offer me any solutions. Please be aware they false advertise and do not guarantee… Read Full Review

I ordered my code 2 days ago. It came in about 24 hours. The code didn't work. I am getting NO response from the customer support they claim to "pride themselves on". This is the one response I DID get... ♦ Support Explain me, with more detail you have, what you do from the start to unlock your cellphone... Provided them with a more detailed explanation...hmmmm 18 hours ago? Nothing. Take your phones to a professional folks....Face to face… Read Full Review

“Worked for me.”

Written on: 04/10/2013 by peterdrinnan (1 review written)

I ordered my code around 11pm. Had to wait until the morning but it can at 7:30 am. They also answered my email about the delay. Finding a good unlocking service is like finding a good mechanic. I'll stick with these guys. btw, for those who complain about their English, please note they are from Quebec and I'm sure their English is a lot better than most people's French. Certainly good enough to do business. … Read Full Review

If you ordered outside of their 7am to 8pm working hours, you'd have to wait until the morning to get the code. I agree there should be a notice about that but for me I did get the code around 7:30 am the next morning and an apology for the delay. These guys are in Quebec and of you check out their "'about us" section you'll see they are real people offering a real service, not a bunch of thugs at all. Seriously dude!

“Fast, efficient and it worked”

Written on: 11/09/2013 by piuh123 (1 review written)

Entered my IMEI number, provider and model, then credit card info and immediately got a tracking page that kept me abreast of the progress of my request. Got my code in less than 15mins. Followed the instructions (which, for the Samsung ACE is simply to enter the number in the home screen) and it unlocked right away and it was working with a foreign SIM card a few seconds later. Never had to talk to a human as their automated service worked flawlessly. Snapshot of tracking page… Read Full Review

“MobileInCanada review”

Written on: 20/05/2013 by northam (1 review written)

I paid 21.00 to have brand new no contract Koodo Samsung ace 2x unlocked. It took until the next day to get the code and it didn't work I gave them the IMEI number from the phone using *#06# and also from inside the phone. They insisted it was correct and I tried it three time. Then they said they wanted a video of me entering the code in the phone and it showing unlock unsuccessful. I sent 14 emails back and forth over three days to these clowns whose english is barely readable when they do… Read Full Review

“Worst Service Ever”

Written on: 04/05/2013

Contacted them for help on unlocking a phone. Claimed that the phone would work on the Wind network. All they care about is money. Once I paid $22 and was left with phone that does not work they told me to basically F-Off and blocked me from seeking more assistance. Asked for a refund, they refused. I would rather buy a phone brand new, full priced and unlocked than you their service because it is so terrible. Save you money. Not worth it… Read Full Review

“Won't refund $21”

Written on: 20/04/2013 by AllanVancouver (1 review written)

In November 2013, I got on their website, everything went wrong and I sent them a note about how I got kicked off. They replied back some basic instructions that I had already tried, so I forgot about them and got my unlock somewhere else. They never sent me an email with a code or any instructions, so I assumed all was over. Them I got a bill for $21 on my VISA and sent them a note asking for a refund. They have replied twice basically brushing me off with things like contact VISA (This is 3… Read Full Review

“Recieved Unlock Code In 6 Mins! But, Cus. Service Is Slow”

Written on: 23/08/2012 by ReviewGuy32 (0 reviews written)

Phone : HTC Desire Current Carrier : Telus Unlock Price : $20 New Carrier : 7-11 Speakout Wireless I found a recommendation for mobileincanada on the Android forums. I thought about using the software unlock suggested on the forums, but I decided I preferred to pay the $20 rather than go for through the time and effort of downloading the software and following the steps required to unlock the phone (and potentially hardlocking the phone or having the unlock break on me and having to do it… Read Full Review
