the NCK code worked fine for my xperia go (turn phone on with locked sim and enter the 16 digits into the phone and it will be unlocked), requested the unlock on the 1st December had my phone unlocked on the 3rd December. the promotion i signed up in order to keep my unlocking free was the scratchcard one, which required a £10 minimum deposit (which kind of annoyed me) but they gave me an additional £10 to play their games. i used it to play the black jack game they had (at 50p per hand) and set it to autoplay 40 turns each time, by the time it had actually played through the bonus and i was allowed to withdraw my money again i had withdrawn £55 so i was actually in profit. be warned though to make that withdrawal their accounts department require you send scans of your id and credit card you used to play. i also found this a bit annoying as they were quite happy to withdraw my money in the first place, I was just trying to get it back!
