I sent a tablet and smartphone in for a screen repair. The first thing that happened was I received an email saying that additional repairs were needed at an extra cost of £93. I declined and asked for my devices back, and to have a refund. Nothing. They don't answer their phone and it was only when I threatened legal action that I received an email response saying they were waiting for parts that were out of stock. My iPad has come back with additional damage and like others on this site I was charged for a new home button as it was "faulty" when they did their assessment. I have sent off my iPad mini to replace the cracked screen. A couple of days after receiving it they send me an email saying that they discovered that the home button is supposedly almost broken (although the screen was cracked from the other side and I have been using it for 6 months without a problem) and they want to replace it for an extra charge. I have just had exactly the same experience! I wonder how many members of the public these people trick with the supposedly faulty home screen button... It took 4 weeks for a simple cracked screen repair. I requested that our device was returned unfixed so we could get it repaired elsewhere, and was quoted £14.99 cancellation fee, to cover the cost of returning the device. I work for the Royal Mail and know full well this is no way near the actual charge of posting! Would never use again and certainly not recommend.

“Had my iPad for a month and bad updates”

Whilst I started off being relatively happy with the service, this took a sharp decline when further repairs were required on my iPad. I was informed at this point a further 7 - 10 working days were required to fix this. After this time was up, Fone Angels customer service got progressively worse and very quickly. “long overdue and substandard ipad air repair”

Heard nothing about the my screen replacement for a month as apparently they had forgotten to log my case on their system. Had to call several times whenever I wanted an update as it would usually go through to voicemail and no one responded to the messages I left. I've had a very poor experience with FoneAngels and am at the stage where I am considering making a claim against them. I had sent my IPad in due to suspected battery issue. After receiving the device FoneAngels confirmed the battery needed to be replaced and a promised to repair it within a few business days. I sent my tablet in exactly 4 weeks ago and I still do not have it back. Like other reviewers they send you emails apologising that they recieved an incorrect batch and they are ordering new screens. From the start I didn't get any response when I used the online tool to book in my ipad (they were supposed to contact me within 48 hours to confirm when a courier would pick up my ipad). **PLEASE READ** If you want a true representation of foneangels customer service then I suggest a quick twitter search, I wish I had before using. I ordered the express repair for a new battery for an ipad 4. The express service is supposed to be a repair and dispatch on the same day. So many people on here have indicated that they were asked to approve "extra" repairs having sent their item off and that is exactly what has happened to me this morning. Where do I start.
I had a crack on the screen of my Ipad. I lived with it for over a year but as I am going away on holiday next week 29/05 I though that I would get it repaired before I travel. I paid for the express courier drop off and pick up service on the 27th April and have not received the iPad back yet. It was eventually picked up by a courier on the 5th May

I was then told after a week of no communication that the screen repair was successful but there was another problem with the on/off button that will cost me an extra £49. I had never had any problems with the button when I sent it in but I was in no place to argue so agreed for them to carry out the work. I have sent numerous mails and made numerous calls to no avail. They have had the ipad since the 5th May.
I have just received what appears to be a generic email mail explaining that their is a "complication" with the device and that their phone lines are extremely busy.
Will I see the Ipad Again

This has followed exactly the same timeline and email chain as mine. They said the volume button had been damaged by a dink when I dropped it and as I couldnt remember where it was I nearly gave the OK - glad I didnt as when I "finally" received the ipad back the dink was on the opposite corner, nowhere near the volume button

I will NEVER use these people again and I would urge others not to put themselves through the stress of using them either.

The only successful people seem to be those that call in for an on the spot repair.

While the website looks flashy and the price is decent their customer service is awful I sent my iPad in on the 14/02 and received it on the 28/03 not the speedy 5 day they promise. They also kept sending me new invoices for other repairs that "needed" to be done - which did not! they trying to trick innocent people. I'm taking the time to write this review as I really do not want others to suffer from what can only be described as the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Shockingly bad service. I purchased their express repair service and and they collected my phone. I then didnt hear anything from them for 4 days. I contacted them for an update to which i got the response of: We are waiting for a part to arrive and your item wont be ready til next week. Trying to get your money back from this company is a nightmare. Customer services will repeatedly fob you off with the 3-5 working days minimum, several times in a row. However, beginning legal action does get results within 48 hours - however why does it have to come to that? If they were as good on customer complaints as they are on pulling trust pilot reviews they don't like, then things might improve. I had problems with posting my 1 star review about foneangels on trustpilot but in the end they posted it and apologized to me. You just need to keep the pressure on. I sent them 3 emails and gave them 1 star review on their own website which worked. People need to able to see what kind of comapny fone angels is.

My son sent off his iPhone 5 for a screen repair. After 3 days foneangels sent an email claiming there was additional damage that would cost an extra £45. When he refused it, the price for the additional work dropped to £30. i have had exactly the same thing happen to me with my iPad. i am still waiting for my money to be returned but they tell me that they are going to withhold £10 to cover postage when it is their fault they don't have the replacement screen. I am now on a mission to spread the word as to what a bunch of misleading rubbish they spout. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PRECIOUS DEVICE.
