I purchased an unlock code for the Blackberry PRIV model. There were no instructions or video provided for this model, which uses the Android OS, very different than BBOS10. After struggling with re-starting, erasing the phone multiple times, googling YouTube self help videos on the PRIV, it turned out that Rogers never locked the phone on original purchase. I asked for a partial refund for buying a service that I could not use and for the non-existent instructions on how to use, just advised to go away and review the terms and conditions.

Oops ! That’ll almost happened to me with a Galaxy Note 4 on the Three UK network ( Three had covertly unlocked all their handsets a couple or so years back) Not nice in a way but they won’t know whether or not the handset is unlocked, I purchase a fair number of handsets second hand but have learnt to always try a different SIM before approaching them or any other company for unlock codes.
