I bought sim free iphone and I was told its unlocked and I can use it on any network. I went to home and the next day I recieved my PAYG sim and tried putting in my iphone the iPhone does not recognised. I went to the carphone ware house and explained what has happend. The guy at the store said we can not do anything its a handset fault I said yes it is replace or refund me simple. He would not listen and forced me to go to Apple to fix it. When I called their customer service everyone is like they dont want to talk to me. My advice to you - if you have a brain please avoide carphone warehouse. Thats as simple as that.
