Overall, the Samsung T100 is a very nice looking telephone, always wanted one and recently bought one for a cheap price.
I have seen some of the newer versions of this phone, they were not to my liking, as the handset shape and design could not be improved upon in any way.
Wanted the front flap, when closed to light up via a button to view the date and time. The process of entering a new contact within the PhoneBook was touched on earlier.
However, he booklet again declined to offer me a precise way of entering a new contact number.
Further more, had to enter via another unexplained route.
Why did Samsung provide a help facility within the handset, is this to supplement the user guide. The user guide needed to have extra information there for problem solving.
Irritated by the way that I had to derive from upper and lower case for text messaging. The centre overall menu button was, I thought a little to small to use. Received caller numbers ~ could not get the phone to highlight who had called me, unless I went into the Call Records.
Nothing was explained within the makers booklet of just how to block/unblock outgoing calls?. I thought wrongly that it was under Phone Settings.
In the end, I found the facility under Network Services. Again back to texting. The curser was too slow to react to carry on with letter clusters ABC/DEF ect.

All in all the T100 was a good phone. Have now upgraded to Samsung E800. Very compact and easy to use once I found my way around it.

I've had a Samsung SGH T100 for about a year now, and on the whole am very pleased with it. Its small enough to fit in a pocket, the keys are large enough for texting and the battery lasts well.
BUT there are some poor features which are starting to niggle, so I'll probably be upgrading soon. The ring tone is just too quiet. If the phone is in your bag, you may well miss calls (believe me I have loads of times). Also you can't have vibrate and ring on at the same time. My other complaint with this phone is that it only stores 10 texts at a time. Fine if you only occasionally text, but I'm having to delete them 2 or 3 times a day!
I've found the phone to be very reliable, but these minor niggles are really starting to annoy me, so if they are factors for you, think carefully before buying.

I love my Samsung T100 because: It's easy to use, its stylish, its easy to read and it's a flip phone. If you are looking into getting one I would highly consider it!! Whether you are old or young this phone should suit your needs.

When I 1st got this Samsung T100 mobile phone, i thought that it was great....It was very good to show off...as the phone looks VERY expensive and it made u want to flip it out in front of people..if you wanted to show off. Typeing TXT messages is another thing though, the phone responds slowly to your typing, and You cant save your own words into the dictionery, and to type the word that you want, you need to go and turn the dictionary off and then on again, after you have typed in that word

The Samsung T100 is so bad, it makes me nervous. The message take about 5 seconds to be hide, you can't erase all received or dialed calls, the written message will be lost if you receive a new call, I can't set time to 12 hours AM/PM, the alarm don't save your last settings it gives you the current time (so stupid :)) And so on...

Upgraded from a nokiato the Samsung T100 mobile phone. Took me a while to get used to the Samsung as I have always had Nokia's before. Found the phone easy to use once in the swing but found texting a complete culture change! You have to go to different screens for numbers and symbols and then go back to letters...not fun or quick. The phone looks and feels good and found other peoples 1st impressions of the phone were good! I now have a Motorola V500 and about 6 people who want to buy my Samsung ... so you won't have any trouble unloading the phone when it's time to upgrade

When i bought this Samsung T100, I was looking for a colour flip mobile phone. I didn't read into it AT ALL and now regret it as I wasted £80!! 2nd hand! The ringtones are rubbish, texting takes forever and you can't go onto 2 messages, you can't add words onto the predictive texting, plus you can not store any messages to the phone. You cant see your sent messages, neither is there an outbox. This phone really is rubbish.
The WAP also I found was very slow and hard to use, and often freezes when trying to disconnect. The housing for this brick scratches really easily, and the rubber ariel bends and the top snapped off mine. Battery life is 2days at the most, with average use. The display on the front of the phone had broken and i am no longer able to see who is ringing me, if i have a message or missed call, i always have to open the phone to check. Something happened to the liquid display.
Overall, as you have probably gathered, this phone is total scrap, and u shouldn't waste any amount of money on it.

I bought a Samsung T100 second hand, although it had only been owned 1 week. It was £80 from an individual store. I love the phone especially the high quality colour screen. It came with a good speedy charger and 2 batteries. One is thicker than the other, but has less life. It is of a resonable size. Despite other comments the ringtone volume is ok. As a teenager it is an ideal phone, although lacking in features. The most notable is the lack of such simple things as a stopwatch, then bluetooth which I would expect in a phone like this. The screen is very large and clear, but the front LCD is not very clear unless it has its aqua blue light on. I have had no problems with reception, having been on other awful phones! As I said earlier buying from new is quite expensive, I would go for a second hand one. I have made my rating upon a brand new phone, I would give it a 9 for the second hand one I got. Good simple phone with good navigation, but occasionally lacking in features.

This Samsung T100 is a really great mobile phone! It is small when flipped down but when open it has a fantastically big screen (much bigger than the Nokia's) I am currently selling my Samsung t100. it is a great phone but i want to go back to a classic Nokia just because the WAP isn't great on this phone and the WAP is what I really want. If u want to put in an offer for my Samsung then please email me at [email protected]

The Samsung T100 mobile phone was amazing, i especially liked the colour screen and how long the battery lasts compared to how long you have to charge. I also liked the features on it like the colour games which were fantastic. Its overall presentatation was amazing.
The samsung T100 was good but the let downs were the poor quality of games and the voice commands do not work very well.
But overall it was brilliant, the best phone i have ever had!

Stupid me thought this Samsung T100 mobile phone would be good because it looked good. How wrong was I? I think my dog tried to warn me how rubbish the phone was when she chewed it up after having only a couple of days.
The text facility is rubbish. If someone phones whilst you are writing a text, the whole message disapears. Also there is no Sent Message box, so you cant tell whether you have just sent that drunken rude text to your boyfriend or boss!
The ring tones are poor. They are more like something you would expect little teenage kids to have on their mobile.
The internet access was also rubbish and I didnt bother with it at all, due to it being too slow.
The phone itself is flimsy and feels like it will snap in half. The rubber aerial bit came off after a while. Oh, the phone also scratches really easy.
I am pleased the contract on this phone has ended and I am going to go back to a trusted Nokia!

NOKIA? They are common rubbish. I was considering it too after my GX10 but i did not want to feel like a sheep and follow everyone else down the path of nokia so i choose MOTORLA, it was a good choice.
<br>
<br>But if you prefer NOKIA then thats your opinion but dont make out that NOKIA are the best at everything in phones and dont make flaws.

The Samsung T100 is a good-looking mobile phone let down by the internal software in the phone.
The phone has most of the features I was looking for, or more accurately it was the lack of over hyped/overpriced features that attracted me. The phone makes while looking good has some serious flaws that let it down.
The phone can only store 10 txt messages!! You can fill that with just the delivery messages.
The predictive text is appalling. You can't add to the highly restrictive dictionary. Perhaps I'm more eloquent than the average 9 year old, but not to be able to add your own words
The volume is too quiet. Like to be able to hear a phone ringing and not rely on hearing the vibrate motor going off.
There are a whole host of features on the phone that just ooze lazy programming e.g the way that the menus are laid out and the way to update wallpaper and ring tones. Perhaps it's because I'm an engineer myself but it just bugs me.
I conclusion though I've held onto the phone for a year, I wont be getting a new Samsung when the time for the upgrade comes around

Overall i think this Samsung T100 is a poor mobile phone for advanced mobile phone users, i was thoroughly disappointed with what i recieved as a phone.

I love this Samsung T100 mobile phone! It looks great, is easy to use and is great value 4 money.
I've just bought the Panasonic X70 and hand on heart i took it back in favour of my T100!

I think this Samsung T100 mobile phone is very good and easy to use, the keys are big enough and easy to press. it is a solid phone that doesnt break easily if you drop it, you can also get a lot of extras for them.

I have owned almost every mobile brand available over the years, but this is by far my favourite phone. You have to challenge the strong urge to become a sheep and have a Nokia, granted this is a powerful force, but be strong and you will be rewarded with a great phone.
The T100 has lots of features and all of them are useful and easy to use and become familiar with.
I find sending a text message particularly easy and reading them is even better, clear and colourful screen that attracts admiring glances.
On that subject you might wish to take a peek around when answering the T100 at night, it does illuminate very well, and some admirers may not be friendly.
I am also a huge fan of the style of this phone; it has sexy contours and fits into your palm like a Kylie Minogue bum cheek.
The colour screen is vibrant and can be altered to suit your taste with the contrast feature.
The animated screensavers for the T100 are both widely available and numerous.
They are the most visually stunning of any phone I have compared them to and with Jordan or Caprice eagerly stripping whenever you open the phone, life is never boring with the T100.
The polyphonic ringtones are excellent and easily available on the internet, and many are free to download. I am using an old A-Ha favourite Take On Me, which is a naturally brilliant ringtone anyway, but is especially good when played on a T100 polyphonic range.
If you are a heavy user of texts and like to store and send the latest gags then the smallish storage facility may prove a problem, it has nowhere near the capacity of a Nokia 6210 but beats the 3330 hands down.
I find though that most text gags have a short shelf life and so it is a natural culling at the end of the day. The dual screen display is also a great feature, and being able to identify the caller by visual means before answering is a very handy tool.
This is especially useful when the wife is screaming to get hold of you at the pub, while she is incinerating your dinner at home.
So in closing the T100 is accused of being an "old" phone model after being around for just a year, which is technically a lifetime, but still, does the business in the kudos stakes.

The Samsung T100 is a good looking phone for people who know little about technology or for people who arn't not intrested in it.
It is shame that 2 times cheaper C100 have better
tech content (IR,java,GPRS etc)
If you love samsung just like I go for S300m
written by kylemc2 on 05/10/2003
This in my eyes is the best phone in the world the amount of accesories for the T100 is unreel little over priced but worth it.
Written on: 13/10/2003
Maybe if it is only on whole world and if you do know nothing about hi tech - even my cheap C100 is better than T100.
<br>Why?
<br>Because there is GPRS, IRDA, JAVA, 65K color screen and other termins what makes diffrence...
<br>So if you want great phone go for S or V series if you want cheap but better than overpriced T100 then chose C100...
<br>T100 is the worst color phone from Samsung !

I disagree with most of your points here. I've had the Samsung T100 for about 6 months and I've had no trouble with it. Deleting received and dialled calls is simple. True, messages do get erased if you are interrupted during writing them, but that isn't a major problem, and the fact that you can't set the clock on 12 hour time doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. So overall, I think that your reasons for disliking this phone are fake.
