I sent my Xperia Z Ultra in for repairs. It came back with the back not placed on correctly, which caused my phone to become bricked (completely unusable) via water damage. I sent it back in, and now their saying it can't be repaired and telling me to pay a $25 diagnostic fee. If I don't pay them then my bricked phone will become their property in 30 days. “Repairer used by EE - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!”

LIARS, CHEATS, RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SLOW If I could give zero stars I would!!! After my Samsung Galaxy S4 died while under a year old I asked a respected local repairer to repair it. They checked everything and came to the conclusion it was the main board. Because it still under warranty they suggested returning it to EE for repair. So I did. “AVOID THIS COMPANY”

Their customer service is an absolutel embarrassment- takes at least 10 minutes to get through or sometimes it just ends the call. The advisors are the least helpful people possible, they seem to know absolutely nothing. The technicians are complete nut cases, they break phones before they repair. Never ever speak to an English person, or someone I can at least understand. Sent my z1 off twice for the same problem- it had bent. Nexus 6 was playing up so I contacted Motorola who advised to send to DBE. During its time at the repair centre, there were regular updates shown on their extranet with concise information as to what was happening. Ended up sending me a brand new/refurbished phone due to a battery error. Full tracking information was provided when they sent it back. Sent on a Friday had it back the following Thursday. Although I some what agree with some of the negative feedback ( adding extra repairs with items not necessary/taking a long time to answer the phones) I sent my scracked screen to repair on Monday by Special delivery and received it back on saturday morning special delivery. “Scamming people out of money”

I would not have given any stars if possible. Sent my phone in for repair. Screen was damaged due to impact no warranty coverage. Received a repair invoice, noticed other items on the invoice called to ask about them. Was lied to a couple of times, given many opinions when I was looking for fact. In the end discovered the extra items they were charging me for were standard repair policy for the parent company and not actually my cost. “Dangerously useless company - get your phone back from...”

Contacted them after sending phone in for assessment. High price quote for many other things other than a broken screen, which is what it went in for. Out of service, of course, like the other reviewers. My Samsung Galaxy phone came back from SBE Ltd saying online on the Samsung website that the repaired has been completed but not really. The phone has not been repaired. An accompanying note says that the warranty has expired and SBE Ltd tried to contact me to see if I will be looking to opt for out of warranty repairs but they could not get in touch. My Nexus 7 was under warranty I sent it to Asus (who sent it to SBE) SBE could not find anything wrong with the device even though the headphone volume is either distorted when turned up or inaudible normally Although they found nothing wrong I am required do pay £40 to get my tablet back anyway Oh !! and they don't accept cheques and don't answer their phones - so how you pay remains a mystery When I consider all the genuine companies working hard to make ends meet this shower deserves… Read Full Review

The technicians hired for the job are treated like dogs/garbage. They are all pushed to the limit while being paid minimum wage,and they can hire cheap laborers for the so called "technician" position, so some of the phones are being repaired by people that don't even know how to use a phone. that is why it fails to properly repair a phone. Accurate. It's actually worse than that. People are lured into £7.80 per hour technician positions and are then told zero hours at minimum wage, take or leave. Then once inside you are indeed treated like garbage, there is a culture of fear from the team leaders, they constantly tell workers "you might not be here tomorrow" or "work hard and look good because we're letting go of 20 people at the end of the week". In some areas you're not even allowed to talk, and if you do you won't be there the next day.

2 toilets for everyone. When one breaks down that's your break time spent going out of the maze building, then through the security then queuing to the toilet.

Last but not least, Transline, the recruitment company likes to taunt their workers in a small, closed room. "Oooh he didn't know he was on a zero hours contract, that's so, sooooo saaaad."

Slave merchants.

Sony advertise a 5-7 day repair turn round !! Its a joke they have had my phone now for 3 weeks. Sony services cannot give me any information as SBE are a private company repairer for them. Never will I use this appalling service again. Tried ringing but no chance of getting through they cut you off saying high call volumes at numerous times of the day. “Mobile Phone Warranty Void!”

What can I say about SBE Ltd that hasn't already been said online and Yell for example - the reviews are not pretty. The Review Centre is my choice for reviews, it's important the below is made public to warn others.


Apparently, the major mobile phone networks and manufactures use SBE Ltd of Kent. It's where your phone ends up if it 'breaks', when still under contract. But from my experience and other's (having spoken with them online) it's not exactly a guaranteed service, more of a cost...
