My ex left my sons blackberry 9900 into The Phone Hut to have a damaged screen replaced. They told her it would be ready later that evening, or in the morning. She called at 5ish to be told that it would be ready in the morning. By 2pm the next day, we still didnt have the phone back.
My ex understandably likes to be able to connect our son when he's out with his friends (he's 12) and was getting anxious that the repair would run into the weekend, so I called them to ask if they had any idea when it would be ready. I got a ton load of attitude, telling me that they were doing their best and that they've had to wait for a part to come in, and that I wasn't his only customer. Hey, I understand that within any supply chain there will always be delays. I tried to explain that maybe they shouldn't have told us it would be ready the previous evening or that morning when those deadlines couldn't be met - but all along the guy was rude and defensive. He said it should be ready in an hour, and we agreed to disagree and ended the call.
Speaking to my ex later that evening she mentions that this guy told her that I was rude earlier!! I called him back to contest this complete lack of understanding for customer service, and guess what... He hung the phone up on me! The repair cost £45 and now the phone keeps freezing, and the speaker is really muffled and its difficult to hear the caller. I'll be taking it to a blackberry specialist to have it completely overhauled as its obvious he's not properly tested the handset after repair.
