“Terrible service”

Written on: 12/07/2014 by Laurenmoore (1 review written)

Sent my perfect condition iphone 5 to them, worked out I would receive £210 for a second hand, perfect condition iphone 5, before I went abroad. I have now been abroad for a week, I have had to call them whilst abroad every day to find out where my update emails are as I have no idea on what I can spend now. I have been told £150 for a brand new iPhone but not in box so can't sell as brand new. I have now been waiting two and a half weeks and when I finally receive the email I think I will be… Read Full Review

“TOTAL SCAM - AVOID THIS WEBSITE”

Written on: 11/07/2014

Ditto to all the other complaints on this website. They offer you an amount for you phone, you send it in and then they confirm the offer. You receive nothing and chase only to be told that they have sent you an email with a revised offer that you have to respond to within 3 days. (you will not have received that email and the offer is ridiculously low). They then refuse to send the original offer. I have now contacted trading standards and the Citizens Advice Bureau hoping that they will… Read Full Review

“Stay clear of this company!”

Written on: 09/07/2014 by pcDwyer453 (1 review written)

I decided to sell my ipad with igadgets recycled as they gave me the best quote online '£205' which i was quite pleased with and saved me the hastle of going through ebay. Ive had the ipad 6months it was bought as a christmas present but after using it the most of 5-6 times (so it was in excellent condition) i knew it would be easier to sell as it was useless to me and was never getting used, after selecting Igadgets i quickly sent the the ipad in the post wrapped in bubble wrap with also a… Read Full Review

“WARNING DO NOT USE!!!!”

Written on: 07/07/2014 by eg22 (1 review written)

I sent away a samsung galaxy S4 it was in perfect condition apart from the odd scratch on the back of the phone cover, It was only a few months old and worked perfectly. I normally used Mazuma who i have never had any trouble with, however only offered me £120, igadget offered me £170 and i sent for the package straight away. I double bubble wrapped it to be on the safe side. About 3 days later i received an email quoting the screen was cracked, the camera didnt work and other issues with… Read Full Review

D.bramwell86's Response to eg22's Review

Written on: 08/07/2014

Completely agree with the above.
It has taken two months, 5 emails and 2 phone calls of which both I was made to wait an hour before they answered.
I was quoted 120 pounds and I heard nothing for weeks to then receive a check for £17. Apparently it's accepted now and they have moved the phone on so nothing can be done.
I will be going through the ombudsmen to try and claim some of my money back!

“Avoid at all costs!”

Written on: 05/07/2014

We sent off 2 iphone5's both were in very good condition, no damage to the screens, the only marks on the phones were by where the phone charger went into. We were told we would get £205 for each phone, we sent the phones off, we packaged them well to avoid any damage. A few days later we received an offer of £60.00 per phone as there was pressure damage to each phone. This was declined by us. After reading a few reviews I called the company and spoke to a helpful man who said they would… Read Full Review

“Overall a good service.”

Written on: 04/07/2014 by N31LC (1 review written)

Easy to use website, highest price offered, jiffy bag arrived the next day. I paid the extra postage for tracking and to increase the insurance cover and received confirmation that my phone had arrived, been checked and I would get the full amount in up to 8 business days. Payment never arrived but after sending an email to chase it up, John replied within 20 minutes and the money cleared my account 2 days later so I am pleased with their service and the promptness of John in rectifying the… Read Full Review

“DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY”

Written on: 03/07/2014 by Lolak371 (1 review written)

After waiting for almost two months for any sort of payment from my iPhone 5s which I was originally quoted at £300 I am yet to receive any money at all! They first tell me that they had sent an email with a new price of £196 and because I had not replied to the offer I could not get my phone back as it has been sent off to be recycled! They have pushed the dates back further and further for the money and after numerous phone calls and emails I fear I will not get my money. I am going to be… Read Full Review

“I usually recycle my phone at the end of my mobile...”

Written on: 02/07/2014 by Hoffman455 (1 review written)

I usually recycle my phone at the end of my mobile contract and have been doing this for years now. Have used many companies but usually go for the known branded company. This time it was my Galaxy S3 which I hardly used as it was not my everyday phone. I make sure my things are in good condition and take good care of them and had even any scratch on it. This time I thought would do a comparison and shop around to get a best price for my phone and unfortunately fell into the trap of a fraud… Read Full Review

“Liars at best”

Written on: 02/07/2014 by Wills285 (1 review written)

As with a lot of these reviews, my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 was a near new phone that I just hadn't got on with. I'd used the phone for a couple of weeks only before I bought an iPhone instead. I was originally offered £163 for the phone, and after agreeing the price posted it in one their own provided jiffy bag. I also padded this out with cardboard as I didn't think the envelope would be enough. Received an email three days later to say it had arrived. Received the next email less than an hour… Read Full Review

Told by the very rude staff their is nothing they can do. Such a disgusting service! Can't believe they are getting away with this ripping people off and faking reviews on their own website! “WORST COMPANY EVER!”

Written on: 01/07/2014 by 367Steele (1 review written)

£75 they promiced me and instead they are only paying me £13. The lady on the phone was rude and made up multiple excuses after I asked for my phone back. My phone was in great condition when I sent it, I'm very angry. Before you make the mistake that I did, you must understand most of the 5 star ratings are most likely fake, this company would use websites such as fiverr.com to produce fake ratings. THIS COMPANY IS A HUGE CON!!!… Read Full Review

She was rude to me and laughed that my phone had taken 34 days before I received any sort of payment. Said she had no answers and there was nothing she could do! Rude rude rude! Worst service ever. Have an email 20 days ago saying money would take 5 days the woman on the phone said I didn't receive that email and they would never say 5 days. Do not use this company!

They need to be taken to the small claims court, or maybe we could sign an e-petition of some sort and then take this further? I bet we could gather a huge amount of people that are willing to sign. Anyone got any thought about going forward with this?

I'm certainly with you on that I sent 2 iphones off they received them 29th April lowered the price on them I accepted revised offer from then on the 12th June after pestering them with mails and calls and requests to speak with MD. I received an email confirming my payment was on it's way still nothing I was told that mine and someone else's had been forgotton to be posted on the 12th!!!!! Since then I've been told that all cheques had been printed incorrectly so wouldn't be accepted by the bank and were rewritten on Thu 26th the lady even informed me that they had worked overtime to do this and her colleague could remember my name and putting it in an envelope............ 2nd July and still nothing Contemplating contacting the police or Watchdog it's an absolute disgrace they are just robbing people .

The best people to contact are citizens advice becasue they talk directly with trading standards. If there are enough complaints then they will look into this.
I would say go small claims becasue a phone is not normally worth a great deal of money i doubt the directors would even turn up on the hearing date and if they don't turn up it goes in your favour. It costs about £100 to do this but the comapny will be charged any costs if you win.
Watchdog i have tried using them before, still worth trying with them but I don't even get a reply from them at all.
This company needs to be complained about in pur mass by us.

“They are "economical with the truth"”

Written on: 01/07/2014 by JohnWRobson (1 review written)

I had a Samsung Galaxy Ace which was provided under a contract I had. After using it for less than a week, I decided it was not the phone for me, and went back to a basic talk/text handset (still using my contract SIM). I decided to raise some cash by sending the Samsung to Igadgets Recycled. It was, in effect, a brand new, box-fresh phone. Igadgets Recycled offered me £25 for it and I was happy with this. Upon receipt of the phone they dropped the offer to £17 on the grounds that it had… Read Full Review

“Disappointed”

Written on: 30/06/2014 by Jaysong415 (1 review written)

I decided to recycle my HTC Windows 8x with iGadgets Recycled after reading great reviews about them however I must say I was very dissatisfied with their service or lack of communication. It stared off well and I received lots of emails about how to package my phone and the process everything would go through. However after sending my phone two weeks went by before I heard anything and I had to chase to get this update. Which leads me to both their website and support number for making… Read Full Review
