Appalling Company, STAY WELL CLEAR!!

3 weeks ago I sent my mobile phone to PhoneRecyclers. I now see how this company operates and its appalling. Firstly they offered me a much reduced amount when they received my phone (despite it been excellent condition) by saying the screen had scratches! well actually it was the protective plastic cover covering the screen which had scratches which i'd expect their engineers to 1)be able to realise & 2)simply remove. I sent a response to this effect = no response
I now appreciate this is how they entice customers in as the amount they offered online is quite a lot higher than competitors. So they offer higher than their competitors to induce potential customers then once phone is received come up with lame reasons/defects and offer a much reduced amount.
So having had no response to my email querying the lower offer i reluctantly accepted their reduced offer and was advised the money would be in my a/c shortly. I have just received the funds some 2.5 after I accpeted their offer, so hardly what I would term 'shortly'!! This is after 4 coversations with people from the company over approx 1.5 weeks, each time I was promised the money would be in my a/c that day or the next or promised a return call, none of which happened. I was told they had a payment glitch several weeks ago which had caused a 'backup' and payments were been processed 'randomly' and they just brazenly said this as though it was ok & at no time did anyone offer an apology. The unprofessional manner of the operators leaves a lot to be desired too, one lady repeatedly mispronounced my name on the same call, even though I had corrected her twice she still continued and I don't have a difficult name! I was really losing my patience to the point where I seriously questioned whether this was actually a legitimate company or whether it was a trick and I had been duped into sending my phone to a so called 'company' and that I would never receive any money from them. I tried ringing many other times and either it just rang out or it went to a recorded message asking to leave a message after the beep, then there was a number of beeps and the line cut off, proabably because so many other dissatisfied customers had left messages already. In summary an amateur company, unprofessional, unscrupulous in the way they advertise on their website and in their processes and totally bereft of any customer service. I urge anyone thinking of using this company do yourself a MASSIVE favour and AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!
