After paying for a web pack, £5 for 250mb, I would normally expect to be able to use the internet. No such luck I'm afraid. A look around the web on my desktop computer shows many hundreds of similarly dissatisfied customers who do not get web access on their phones after paying for it. A litany of ridiculous suggestions from support staff include: reset your phone, take out the sim, wait 24 hours. really?
I've tried it on blackberry, Android and HTC Windows phones all without result. I am used to using the internet on my phone even on PAYG. I have successfully used add-ons etc from Orange, O2 and T-Mobile. Generally I use 3 because it is very cheap compared to others. Thought I'd give vodafone a try since their signal is q good here; but it simply doesn't work. And of course, there is absolutely no way of getting your money back. I have used their voice call service for years and it's fine, no problems. They are making a total killing out of data charges though. People just keep throwing money at them. Vodafone Live looks horrible to my eyes anyway, compared to the instant internet access I'm used to on sim-free phones its a bit of a joke. Whichever phone I try, even a vodafone branded one, it only gives me a 2g connection
