“READ THE SMALL PRINT”

Written on: 20/09/2012 by Adam-t (1 review written)

I have been an orange customer for several years and have been supposedly "rewarded" for my loyalty. Admittedly i have had free home broadband as part of my mobile phone contract and every year i ask "will i keep my free broadband"? when i renew my mobile contract, the answer is always "yes".
I am half way through my 2 year mobile contract, free home broadband included and i have recieved emails and letters to say that i must now take up an orange landline deal to keep my free homebroad band!!
I have spent over 6 hours on the telephone in one week (yes 6 hours) to orange home broadband and orange mobile who both blame each other and put me on hold for 20mins at a time before bouncing me back and forth. I evetually spoke to managers from both departments, I was told that in the small print of my mobile contract it says that they can cancel or change any aspect of my contract when they want to !!! my arguement was that they should honour the remainder of my free broadband until my mobile contract is up for renewal.Their answer was we will not!!
They lure you in and promise you the earth then decide to change their minds without any penalty to themselves but when when i then asked to terminate my mobile phone contract prematurely as i wasnt getting what i signed up for i was told that i would have to pay the outstanding 11 months fees!!
Hence an orange contract isnt worth the paper it is written on!! to add insult to injury they have not returned any calls when they promised they would, well only five times thay broke that promise in a week. my advice is steer clear if this is how they reward loyalty and remember "they can change or cancel any part of your legal written agreement at any time".. absolutely unreal isnt it????????
