I was a customer with Orange for 6 years, mainly because it was easier to upgrade and keep my 10% loyalty discount than switch. As I have just come to the end of my 24 month contract I called them to switch to a sim only deal whilst waiting for the iPhone 5 to be released. They told me that my 24 month contract extended into a monthly rolling contract and that as I had just started my 25 month I would have to wait until the end of NEXT month, which makes it effectively a 26 month contract. After complaining and speaking to supervisors who were equally rude, I finally had them cancel my contract with no effort on their part to keep me as a customer. I've lost my 10% discount but this is a very sall price to pay to join one of the other carriers which don't try to charge you ridiculous amounts to unlock you phone at the end of your contract and refuse to give you your PUK code (I had to phone a further twice until I got connected to a competent human who knew what I was asking for). AVOID AVOID AVOID
