“Orange you really are a Joke outfit.”

Written on: 03/08/2012 by Magiceyed (1 review written)

I have been with Orange for over 7 years now, but come the end of my contract, I am out of here, to a provider that gives service and is reliable. Reason's below.

To start with Coverage, at my home on their map it shows good, it has always been a bit hit and miss but over the last two years absolutely a pile of tosh, cannot send emails unless I go upstairs and lean out of a window, phone calls from home non existent, even if I travel a couple of miles still no service, I live in a place that is so remote from human life, its called Essex. They told me (in Urdue) that since T Mobile teamed up the signal im my area had quadrupled, I wondered how they new that being in Delhi.

Customer Service, What Customer Service? you wait a lifetime to get through then you get a person who can hardly speak true English reading from a Indian script, that on every occasion promises you utopia and delivers less than the minimal service finally telling you it will be all right, if not ring back tomorrow, here is my number, and thats the last you will ever hear from that lying employee. But you will definately still have the same problem, just multiplied a bit.

I did some couple of years ago have Broadband (HA HA) well they called it broadband, it was so slow that I purchased 100 pigeons to get my emails to the destanations quicker, the download was running at about less than a Meg, and uploading anything was a task that started in the morning, and by the time I had finished cooking my wifes dinner in the evening, I may have been succesful in uploading about 2meg, if I was lucky. Well back on the phone to my mates in India, "so sorry to hear you have a problem" (Not my problem live with it, wobbly head hands held openly) over a period of two months I spent wasted hours on the phone getting absolutely nowhere. One day I lost it, told them what I thought of Orange broadband, and went to Plusnet who within a few days got me up and running at 7meg speed for the princely sum of £4:95 per month, excellent.

The last straw, just back from a holiday abroad, after checking costs for everything to do with my phone, data, calls, texts etc. I decided to make sure the phone had no chance of busting my bank, so it was left off in the room safe for the whole of the holiday with the exception of 5 phone calls to the uk as my mother was ill and I needed to call her, total time on the phone 49 minutes, so I expected a bill or around £80. On my return to the UK I was greeted by a bill of £768 all allocated to Data roaming. I wrote to the director of Orange explaining that this could not have happened at all, as my phone was off for all but 49 minutes, a lady called me, very pleasant and said yes I had used all that data according to Orange, I asked for proof or even evidence, that was not available, I refued to pay, then the cue'de'gras came out, we can offer you in retrospect a package for £130 which is a lot cheaper than what you owe us. I was over a barrel did I close the contract and have them chasing me through court and in the meantime loose my business mobile number, or pay them, I paid.

Well people that is my true account of the wonderful world of Orange, if you wish to loin them walk into the nearest store and look at the smiling assasin whao wants to sign you up, then start tearing you hair out, but then again it could just be me! however reading the reviews on this site I dont think so.

Orange my contract is up in October, DONT CALL ME, DONT OFFER ME THE LATEST WHOPPEE DOPPEE PHONE, AND CERTAILY DONT EXPECT ME TO STAY WITH YOU ANY MORE, After all you are a truly uncaring, underhand, money grabbing, nasty organisation, and I for one hope you like the Banks are brough to task one day, very soon.

I have had no problems with Orange, and soon they may do fibre optics than your speed would of increased. Coverage would also improve with 4g network which they won. I had problem with coverage the guy in the phone shop sent a coverage problem thing and in 1/2 weeks I am getting alot better than before.so no complaints

Its called reading the news my friend. Your pitful excuse is very minor. Your speed would be the same regardless who you use as it is through your phone line unless you get fibre optics!! Your router may of been faulty or your package capped I had same problem i merged my phone line rental and broadband ( alot cheaper than plusnet) I only pay £18.50 pm with faster speed . I was on an old 8meg broadband and now its 20meg
Everyone knows when you go abroad lots expensive if you do not check your phone before leaving i.e is my data roaming on or off that is your job to do not Orange. any phone company would do the same!!
Coverage every network has good and bad areas like from the news recently of 4g which Orange won first this will improve indoors.
When people leave good reviews you automatically assume they work for Orange!
Like i said im pleased 100% and sorry you are not but I would wait and see
