After being on orange for 3 yrs and only offered poor phones my partner and i tried for the last time to upgrade to a middle of the range phone and this was turned down...we were then told by the team at orange to wait to the very end of our contract and then ask to be put through to the retention dept who would rather sort out a deal for us than loose our custom, we did this and were still only offered in real terms a yogurt pot with a bit of string. we then shopped around and found a fantastic deal through quidco (which is amazing)for the latest android phone on t mobile, i rang orange got the codes for our phones to transfer the numbers over we were told of no hidden charges at any time during these conversations with them, we were up to date with our bills bar the final month which was for £57.63p.On return from our family holiday we had a letter from orange stating that we owed £101.80p, i then rang the number on the letter to find out what the extra money was for i was told by one representative that it was for the outstanding month and then the next although i had left orange and the number was on a different network i explained this and was put on hold for 40 mins...after speaking to several other "customer care" people who all told me different accounts of what the money was for i was then put through to a department in a "far away land" where i was told that the other money was not for the last month but for the previous one to our last bill whereupon i went through my bank statements and saw that my partner had paid it and he said she was basically a liar i then asked to speak to the line manager in this "far away land" who consequently spoke to me like a piece of c**p and then hung up the phone, mmmm nice!!!! I finally got through to someone this morning who in real terms told me the extra money was incurred through basically hidden charges that we were unaware of and had never been told about, when i asked how i was meant to find out about these hidden charges i was told to go to terms and conditions at the bottom of their web page and then to go to the bottom of that to extra links!!! so to recap in 48 hours i had been lied to, had ten different versions of events, my partner called a liar, been hung up on and put on hold at my cost for an hour. i would advise anyone who is with or thinking of going with orange to run as far away from them as possible their only aim is to not give you what you want dangle a carrot infront of your face and then charge you for it and if you do go with orange you will need to learn a second language or have a translator with you oh and also the patients of a saint, god help you all!!!!!
