I got a virtual (non-geographic/portable) phone number from Flextel about 18 months ago and love it. I got an 07 number cos it looked like a mobile number (great for my freelance biz contacts but keeps my mobile private - best of both worlds!) and it was free to get (and is still free to use!), but you can also get local numbers (begin with 01 and 02) and 08 and 03 numbers if you want to look more corporate and not like a mobile/freelancing business. All of these are either free or really cheap to get and use (unless you opt to pay extra upfront for a really jazzy looking number). In the time I've had my number, I've never had it fail on me (bit hard to believe, but yeah). I've had mobile hiccups (thanks O2!) and even problems with my landline provider, but not with Flextel. In fact, when O2 went down, I just moved my Flextel number from my mobile to my landline so that I didn't miss any business calls. I've had to call customer service once because I didn't quite understand the explanation on the website about how to use their switchboard feature, but the guy on the phone was really helpful and took the time to talk me through it. They have just revamped their website to make it a lot better than it used to be, but it still needs work. Social media also isn't updated very often either so I've taken a star off for that, but when it comes to actual service quality & reliability where it counts, I think I'm happy to give them top marks, hence my 5/5 here. Should've written this review sooner really, but the fact that I've managed to go 18 months without any problems says it all really! :)
