I have been with 3 since they began, and then I tried to cancel my account after being with them for such a long time. I,am begging you to never open an account with 3 it has taken me 6 months to cancel my account and hours and hours of horrendous phone calls to the supposed customer service team which is a contradiction in terms, make no mistake THEY DONT CARE and if you try to cancel your account they will delay and delay and try to sell you another contract, then they ignore the cancellation tell you it is cancelled and it is a lie, I have been charged for 6 months of contract even though I cancelled and should have only paid a month, I have now received my refund get this £12.90 and I have to call them on 0843 373 3333 to get this refund which is a number that they charge you to call and guess what they want all the details including all your bank details and passwords so they can refund it when I said please please just send it to my account you take the money from again they insisted that they don't have the details there for that, even though they have been taking money from my account for years and years.( so still no refund) The customer service is so bad that I went into the local 3 store here in Bristol in the mall while on the phone to 3, the chap did try to help me in the store and even he had an argument with the customer service rep on the phone in India, he gave up and managed to look up that I had now cancelled my account and confirmed this too me and gave me the date, guess what they kept taking the money and when I called back again they said they could cancel my account but only starting from now this is 3 months later and so on and so on and so on, 6 months on and over 14 hours of phone calls to 3, I actually refused to come off the line till they confirmed my cancellation they kept me hanging on for over an HOUR and kept coming back to me occasionally to make sure I was still there eventually my phone went dead, they had cancelled my phone line, cut it off completely which in some respect was a relief but now when I had too call them they charge you on a landline and because they had cut of the number I could not get into my account online. The worst of it all is the customer service team they do-not know our rights here in the UK and when you try to explain that what they are asking for is not needed full passwords etc, this is a security breach if you want to give your full password and all your details to a phone rep in India, good luck.
