I'll start on a positive note and say that when I first took out my mobile contract in September 2010, the service reception in the areas of the North West (England) where I usually travel were good and the mobile broadband service in this area on mifi has been very good and generally reliable. However, a few months ago I began to get a network fault - I could hear other people fine, but other people said it sounded like I was talking a few feet away from the phone. I reported this to 3 and they told me the problem lay with BT on the whole of their network and not with 3, so the problem was never resolved. Now there are 1,210,193,422 people in India and if you ever get a problem on 3 you'll get to speak to about a quarter of them as they spend 20 minutes diagnosing the problem and then pronounce that they understand - not the solution to the problem, but just what your problem is and then describe it in exactly the same terms as you described it 20 mins early, they'll pass you on to someone else who will repeat this process. Each time they will ask the same security questions just to check that someone hasn't jumped onto the line in the meantime with a predilection for spending Saturday afternoons asking the sub-continent technical questions of ultimate mundanity!
Anyway, I've now move to T-mobile, so I'll see how that works out!
