I contacted Gadgetsafe as I have insurance with them through my bank. I had accidently dropped my phone and cracked the screen.
They told me they couldn't approve my repair as my account was cancelled, however this wasn't true, the account was still open & we were still paying the fee every month!
After SIX WEEKS of calls both from myself and from staff at my local bank they finally agreed that yes my account is still open and sent me a bag to send off my phone.
After paying the excess of £25, I then paid another £6.95 for special delivery as this is the only postage they will accept. I was assured the postage cost would be reimbursed but have since been told that no it won't.
5 days after posting my phone to them i recieved it back complete with a shiney new screen. Unfortunately they had reloaded the software and it clearly has a problem as it keeps switching off and after a few hours it wouldnt turn back on.
So although I've paid for a repair I'm left with a useless phone. They have agreed to take the phone back and redo the software but keep failing to send the promised envelope and claim form to me. This means I have no way of getting the phone to them as they wont accept it without their claim form but despite daily phone calls plus an emails they just wont send this out.
