To read half of these reviews bearing in mind that many are from years ago. I was dreading the thought of sending my phone off all together, how wrong I could be. My galaxy s8+ fell out my shorts and had corner impact smash. The following day I contacted o2 insure and explained I needed to make a claim. The friendly lady asked all the relevant questions, i.e what happened, and other policy questions. She explained that my phone would be collected the following Monday as I called on Friday afternoon. DPD collected my phone on Monday as mentioned, on the Wednesday I had a email saying they had received my phone, 2 hours later another email saying my claim had been accepted. The following day (friday) my brand new s8+ arrived with DPD. Overall a straightforward and pleasant experience. Nothing what so ever as other reviews have mentioned. My device was in immaculate condition other than the smash and was only 1 month old. Perhaps if older devices were claimed then maybe a refurbished device would have been sent out. I was advised that my excess would be £60 which is great value in comparison to the cost of the actual damage at a samsung service centre. This would be added to my airtime bill which is also convenient. In regards to the bad reviews on here either o2 have changed there insurance company to before hence the bad reviews as most of the recent reviews seem to be great. As with all insurances you need to read the terms and conditions as many people leave negative reviews over not receiving a brand new phone for a 18 month old smashed phone, or paying the excess fee.

My first experience with o2 insure and I would recommend highly the service I received was outstanding.

Very happy with my fixed device and for it all to be done within 4-5 days it's great.
