OK so I need a new car. I have 4 kids, a dog, live in the middle of nowhere, love my shooting, and cover about 40,000 tarmac miles a year for work. Oh and I'm a car snob!
Thank you Mitsubishi!
My Outlander is now 6 months old and covers all of my needs, plus a few more with ease. I chose the Warrior spec, as I had a budget to stick to, and apart from one or two toys that the Elegance and the Diamond models come with (touch screen / sat nav stereo and parking sensors being the main ...

I had the power upgrade from Mitsubishi for the TDI engine - BHP up from 138 to 167 and torque up from 310nm to 365 nm. As a result the engine has much more mid range punch and is probably on a par with the top of the range Diamond Outlander with the 2.2 Peugeot diesel engine. Would recommend the power upgrade but not cheap ...

Item: Mitsubishi Outlander 4x4 2.4 5dr
On road - the Mitsubishi Outlander 4x4 2.4 5dr handles better than most hot hatches if you drive it right,
Off road grip - it had a lot more grip than I expected and better than the nissan I was following in the snow (probably due to the evo 4x4 system and selectable auto gearbox)
Boot space is limited but passenger space in the back is good, I have a Mitsubish lpg/dual fuel version, so running cost is ...

Item: Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4 GLS
Just recently bought the 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander GLS with leather and double sunroof after comparing to Rav4, CR-V and Nissan Xtrail. Overall I liked the styling of the Oulander more then the others, the CR-V and Xtrail in particular have a very generic look to them while the Outlanders styling is definetly more unique and aggressive.
Comparing the ride, the Outlander is shorter (which is good) compared to the rest and has a lower center of gravity, this is especially noticable at ...

We replaced a bad Renault RX4 with the Mitsubishi Outlander in April 2005. Today it has 11 000km on the clock and we are very happy with it. It is by far the most comfortable and quiet, smooth drive we have had and the handling, that is road holding, is exceptional. With the 2,4 litre and automatic transmission it is very good for long trips and towing trailers. We live isolated in Sweden and the car copes with deep snow admirably. There is only one disapointment and that is the fuel ...
