    Have had a Konica Minolta Dimage 500 for several years now and have found it most unreliable. Brand new batteries only last for a few shots before the battery indicator shows battery low warnings. Never seems to switch on when you want it to, even after numerous presses of the off/on switch.

    Outstanding quality at the price. Close to SLR performance at the time and very good lens, Rest is SLR quality. Tough fast camera for the field use, common batteries and chips. The Minolta Dimage 7i outperformed the competitors at that time in my opinion. Also IR photography compatible.

    The Konica Minolta Dimage is a fair old model has a few good points like the many manual settings. I have shot some great photo's with it but you have to use 1 GB SD memory otherwise it won't work.

    Th Minolta Maxxum 7D is a really great value for money camera, which produces some fantastic pictures. Easy to transfer to computer or TV for slide shows. Great pictures, although at first seemed complicated once you get used to it, it becomes really easy, and if you can ' t be bothered to learn it ...

    The battery cover breaks easily and in 3 different stress points. The replacement cost for the battery cover is more than half the cost of a newer camera with more features, more zoom, more megapixels. This camera will last about 3 - 4 years with normal use.
