newcastle to amsterdam great trip

My mum and i booked a mini break which when I booked I had a 40% off. I booked it online which I was dubious as you had to print it out so i was worried about what i might need so I called to check. We always book an outside lower bed cabin. We have done this trip a few times but that was a few years ago, so didn't think it would be a problem this time round. Easy checking in no waiting about straight on board the ship. When we got on board we had to walk through the car boarding deck 4 which wasn't a good start. Our cabin was on deck 4. We hated it from the moment we stepped into it. It was an outside cabin so we did have a sea view, but it was a 4 bed cabin and the other to beds where up against the wall. Our en suite was tiny it was more toilet/shower as they where both in the same space. Horrible! so we went straight to the desk deck 6. We didn't have a lift so had to walk up to flight if stairs wasn't impressed as my mum isn't great with stairs. At the desk the lady was nice polite however when asked what was wrong with our room I replied it was horrible and tiny hated it and would like another.She had a look on the computer and told me we had to come back 30 mins after we have departed. We wandered about then returned to the desk. There was No more rooms apart from another room like what we already had to which I kindly declined however she did say we could upgrade on our return journey the next day. This cost £30. We where happy with that but dreaded a night in that cabin.
Our meals where pre-booked in the Seven Seas. food was very nice, very much enjoyed our meals. I love the bread rolls. We went to the bars drinks weren't to pricey we thought.. after 7hrs on the boat we went back to the cabin. It was hot and very noisy. I slept terribly the noise on the engine I thought it was under my bed that's how loud it was. Next day we took our bags up to the desk for our room change. our day in Amsterdam was good however would love longer in town as we arrived there at 11am ( ship was a little late due to bad weather )l and would be picked back up at 3.30. but it was alright weather was good. We were concerned with the bus back to the docks as it didn't look like it was going to arrive and there was allot of people waiting would there be enough space.
No problems though arrived and straight through. We went straight up to the desk and got our keys to our commodore cabin. What a lovely room you could fit 4 of our old cabins into the new one.no loud noises great nights sleep.
All in all was a good little mini break. Will doing this trip again very soon.
