I've had this system for 8 years now, I could afford a bose right now, but cant justify the price difference. This Sharp has a sound quality and build that is so good, it makes you dance and feel proud.

The Sharp XL-HP500 system was a replacement for a SONY that was sorely lacking in quality sound from the CD player. (It had a prohibitive hiss at lower volumes). The SHARP system cost $20 less with much better sound in the exact same configuration as the SONY. The only fault I could find with this is the daily alarm setting procedure to set after the unit goes into standby mode. (But with the rich sound I can live with the extra button pushing).

Simply buy a chinch jack (1 red and 1 white jack for left and right signals, you see the INPUTS on the back of your hifi) to Ipod jack cable, apply the video/aux funktion on your hifi-remote and play the Ipod. Start at lower volume and don't turn it up too much on the Ipod (this will lead to distortioned sound)! ;)
greez!
