Item: Michael Moore, Stupid White Men: ...and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation
I read Michael Moore's Stupid White Men after watching his documentary "Bowling for Columbine". I like the way he took a serious topic and made it more interesting and palatable to the average man on the street, by injecting humour.
The subject itself is of course the inimitable George W Bush, most of us already realise that his position was bought rather than earned, but this seems to be the state of politics in general these days.

Michael Moore, Downsize This - Moore wrote this book before he was world famous for Stupid White Men and Bowling for Columbine, and I was lucky enough to have read it as an introduction to his work. It is genuinely funny and provocative, an invective against the methods and ethics of big business in America.
