The Mazda 6, or Atenza as it is also known, is a popular family car made since 2003. It has a reputation as a nice looking vehicle with a good choice of styles and responsive engines. The Mazda 6 is also notable for its powerful towing ability. It was Tow Car of the Year 2007 at the annual Caravan Club awards.

    I spent many months researching different cars in this sector and eventually narrowed my choice down to the Mondeo and the Mazda 6. On the test drives the Mazda won hands down.     Great reliable car although fuel economy is less than impressive. I own a Mazda 3 TS 1.6 Activematic and am lucky if I get 240 miles on a full tank consisting of 47 litres.

    Having only ever owned a small Fiesta previously I cannot compare my new Mazda 6 2.2 TD TS2 to other similar large family cars on the market (eg Mondeo, Insignia).     The 3 1.6 TS 5d is a superb car, there is nothing which I dislike about it at all. Very good value with good specification and very good on a run (also on petrol with 45mpg)
    There is no bleep if low fuel light comes on.
    Trip computer does not stay on all the time you have to keep pressing info.
