The amp is impressive for the money, and as a front room system component, it will not disappoint I think. My gripes come because I'm using it in my studio to monitor my mixes etc, and clean sound is paramount. Also worthy of note, I'm now using Kef Coda 7's instead of my old JBL Control 1's.
All in all, a worthy budget hifi ...

I bought the Marantz PM-7000 because I wanted to re-initiate my Hi-Fi stuff after 20 years. After my last Pioneer Elite Amp, I was impressed in the audio store with the clean and crisp sound of midrange and higher frequencies, also it sounded good with the bass. I noticed a small button in the front of the panel with the legend "class A operation", when I request information about this feature to the guy of the store he told me that I have to shut off the amp, press the button and restart it ...

I am very happy with the Marantz CD 6000 OSE CD player. I looked at some really expensive stuff at Mike Manning HiFi in Taunton before getting real with myself and deciding to start a little lower down the market before working up. After a bit of research and a dalliance with a garish looking TEAC, I settled on the 6000 OSE Limited Edition SE.
Really solid feel to the unit, quality feel to the buttons, handy built-in analogue amp...first impressions were very favourable. The ...

I've teamed my Marantz PM-4200 audio amplifier with the higly acclaimed Marantz CD5400 CD player. The detail is excellent! The bass has plenty of weight, and the treble has a definite sparkle. With only 30w RMS per channel, don't be put off. The PM-4200 seems to have no problem with floor-standing speakers. My Wharfdale Diamond 9.4 sound great, and the amp never seems to be outmatched.
This amp definitely punches above its weight; so in conclusion, if you are on a tight budget like ...

I searched for a good compromise between A/V and stereo performance. Arcam claimed the lead in this aspect, but prices are exaggerated. Therefore I took the plunge and I chose this Marantz receiver. And I have not been disappointed, making use of the bi-amping feature in this device, plus pure direct mode, gives you very satisfactory musical qualities, clear vocals and clear orchestrations, which is not easy to find in an A/V receiver.
The sound coming from the loudspeakers is the pure, ...
