    bought the book on the way to Italy, imagine my surprise when the day after reading about Padre Pio I saw the sign for the shrine dedicated to him .Of course I visited and obtained a brochure ,would Maeve Binchy like it ? Loved Heart and Soul and looking forward to the next one.

    Maeve Binchy, Heart And Soul - one is quickly enveloped in the story; she interweaves her subjects so effortlessly. You almost hate to leave one character for another but that really perpetuates reading..not putting the book down....

    Is she working on another novel? can't wait for it to happen!

    I loved the characters, felt sympathy with them, and their situations. I found it easy to invisage the venue, and feel I could almost recognize it if I went there.

    I have read and reread this book, and went on to read Heart and Soul, and was delighted to meet Fiona again.

    I struggle to believe Maeve Binchy wrote Nights of Rain and Stars. It is flat and lifeless. I kept trying to fill in the blanks with her previous style and craftsmanship. In the past, I couldn't put her previous books down. I was always looking for another title at the grocery store. With this one, ...
