I bought a Tripp hard suitcase last year with two wheels and two "legs" at the back. Second time of use one of the legs broke off. As the suitcase was not damaged, I have continued to use it but I have to support it as it will not stand.
Thinking the first case was an unfortunate mishap, this year I bought a second Tripp hard suitcase for my husband. This one had four wheels. When we arrived in Chicago, one of the wheels had come off. This was the first time we used the case.
Tried Tripp site to get replacement parts to-day as the suitcases are now getting scratched and damaged where the wheel and leg are missing, but found out they do not sell spare parts. We can see the fixing screws where the parts are missing and are surprised no parts are available.
I know baggage handlers are rough with luggage, but surely designers do design suitcases to withstand at least some knocks.
We now have two ruined suitcases that cannot be fixed.
