I bought a set of Samsonite suitcases a while ago, only to have the largest one dropped on a corner by baggage handlers. This caused the stitching which attached the zip to the suitcase, to become unstitched. As expected, Samsonite don't cover damage caused by a third party, but my point is, if you are to believe the hype, surely, a quality product should be able to handle this kind of damage.
So, Ive just bought a new large suitcase from Argos for £40 instead of paying out £100's. This new one is guaranteed for 10 years and again, third party damage isn't covered, but, what the heck, I can live with a loss of £40 more than I can for one costing a couple of hundred pounds!!!
