I purchased an expensive Samsonite case costing £349, thinking as a frequent traveller it would last. It has not and thought OK with a 10 year warranty it will be OK. Only to be told if you fly with a case, it is given to a third party and therefore is not covered by the warranty as they damaged it. The airline, say its the manufacturers fault and therefore they won't cover it. So what is the point of luggage that is covered by a warranty.
Next time I will only buy cheap luggage that if breaks throw it way and buy new, not costing this amount of money and has taken only 2 flights!!
The customer service is outsourced with Samsonsite and they don't get paid if they don't tick every box but you cannot use their suitcases for use with an airline. So why give a warranty?
Dreadful company and I would not buy from them ever again and make sure everyone I know also knows this.
